I have done this time and again with hounds and curs......they will (a lot of times) come back and be laying on or near the shirt. I have left dogs in the woods for 30 years and have never lost one that had my number on the collar, I dont turn dogs loose anymore without a tracking collar on them, we will get him back

I even lost one for 7mths once she slipped the collar and got her back. I know its easy for me to say dont worry and I know how you feel but just hang in there we'll find him.

Im sure with the weather he went to someones barn or porch you should be getting a call, when he gets hungry he will go to someones house.
