I have always used the raised kennels for my pit bulls. Mine are built with wood frames but I think I like the looks of yours better.

Title: Re: Elevated kennels in the making Post by: TeJaShOgSlAyER on February 21, 2012, 06:35:50 pm I am using 1 " square tubing to keep it like weight it's 20 foot long 5 foot wide there will be four holes each hole being 5 x 5 I can't wait to get em finished and off the ground i had hell with fleas and ticks last summer and i was trying all kinds of treatments it just was not working for me and where my pens are when it rains the ground holds a lot of water so these will be 10000 times better I think!

If you put male dogs in em they will have em rusted into in a couple years without some heavy rust preservatives. Throw as much treated wood as you can in em.
They look great but them male dogs peeing straight on that metal will deal you nothing but misery if you dont take them time up front. Good luck with em. The only male i got right now is an old YBMC and he get a big kennel lol for more activities Hahahah he gets pampered! :P
