Title: Cut vests and water
Post by: Jmesonp1 on March 26, 2012, 04:51:31 pm
Is there a vest available with some degree of bouyancy to it? If not have any of you guys who build vests ever researched a material that is both bouyant and durable enough to offer the needed protection? Just wondering. Seems we always end up caught in two places, briar patches or water. Even a strong swimmer has trouble swiming with a full set of clothes on, know what I mean.

I have hunted with Micheal. The owner of Hard Core Hogs And Dogs and saw him use his floatation vest a few times on a 3 legged dog that could not swim. This vest worked real good. I saw this same dog jump out of his boat Without the vest on and he sunk like a rock.It has the same level of protection as his cut vest. I have never hunted with anybody that has a Ugly Dog float vest.

It's well worth it...especially around rivers!
