Not a hunting dog, but sure worth watching the video.  I have read Marcus' book Lone Survivor.  This is one hard core dude.

"Marcus Luttrell was the lone survivor of the biggest battle in Navy SEAL history. Badly wounded, out of ammo, and surrounded by scores of terrorists in Afghanistan, he managed to crawl seven miles to evade capture. He was given shelter by an Afghan tribe, who alerted the Americans of his presence, and he was finally rescued six days after the gun battle.

He still hasn't recovered from all of his injuries.

Marcus can no longer sleep at night and can only nap during the day. He lives on a ranch with his mother in Texas. About 1:00 AM he heard a gunshot so he woke his mother and told her to stay inside and then he grabs his gun and goes outside and slips down to the road out front. There he finds four men 18 to 24 years old standing around where they had just shot his Yellow Lab with a .357. The dog was super friendly and would always run out to meet the mailman or anyone else who stopped out front. No doubt, the dog sat to be petted as it was shot down.

Marcus' dog is named Dasy. Each letter, D A S Y, represents one of the fallen members of his team. It was given to him to help him through the recovery process. This dog means everything to Marcus.

Marcus drew his gun aimed it right between the eyes of one of the guys. Now, here's a SEAL team member who is still recovering from his injuries. He had just gotten out of his latest surgery. He's standing there aiming his gun between the guy's eyes. He doesn't fire.

He's just saying, "You killed my dog." "You killed my dog. Why would you do that?" They run. They get into their car and speed off.

Marcus gets into his truck, chases them over four counties at speeds over 100 mph while on the cell phone with 911. The sheriff and the Texas Rangers set up a roadblock and Marcus runs them off the road and holds them at gunpoint as the law moves in.

As the Rangers are taking these guys away, they were threatening Marcus' life and saying, "When we get out, we're coming for you next. First it was your dog. It's going to be you next. You don't know who you're messin' with."

That's when Marcus said to the Ranger, "Excuse me, Ranger, do you know who I am?" The Ranger replies, "Yes Sir, Mr. Luttrell, I sure do." Marcus said, "You might want to explain to these punks that I could have killed them 600 different ways and after what they did to my dog, I could have pulled them down into my basement and tortured them for days and they would have only died after they begged me for death."

One of the four managed to bail out and escape during the chase and the law is looking for him."
