Title: Puppy trouble
Post by: Brushraider on April 17, 2012, 12:56:46 am
I have two puppies that don't eat enough. No matter what food other then raw meat. Their teeth aren't sore and they dont have worms.they just eat a little and go abou their day while they try and catch the birds cleaning their bowls. They are getting skinny and I want them fat. Any ideas?

Try sardines, bread, yogurt, esbilac milk replacer.......ive heard all of these will help, regular dairy milk mixed with canned food always works for me.

A half teaspoon of bacon drippings drizzles over the food will get mine licking the bowl.

its a pain but cheap.. put your dry dog food in microwave safe bowl and add a little water. Microwave for 30 seconds and mix the water and food around until its cold enough to eat. Its worked on 4 of my dogs. The water and heat change the smell of the food a little bit and thats what makes a dog eat. They dont have very good taste buds but if it smells right usually they will eat it
