Title: show me your rack Post by: HOGDOGGERSPC on May 15, 2012, 08:41:18 am lets see some dog racks on your 4 wheelers. about to build some for a couple of 4 wheelers need some ideas.
thanks in advance! Title: Re: show me your rack Post by: djhogdogger on May 15, 2012, 03:42:34 pm This isn't the best pic but the best that I had. This was made out of a front rack off of an old three wheeler. James turned it around backwards and but a piece of plywood in the floor and then used sucker rod for the upper part. Then just tack welded a couple of chain links and attached swivel clips with a removable chain link.... and wha laa! ;D (http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr266/djhogdogging/hog010.jpg) Title: Re: show me your rack Post by: HOGDOGGERSPC on May 15, 2012, 10:01:19 pm I TRIED TO FIND SOMETHING ALREADY MADE BUT HAD NO LUCK SOMEONE SHOULD BUILD AND SELL THEM AS A BOLT ON READY TO GO I WOULD OF BOUGHT ONE.

Kolpin ATV Rear Basket with fold down tailgate and a Honda Foreman Rubicon 500 ATV Rear Rack Extension attached with hose clamps. too heavy of a set up and broke on me .. i had it re-welded but it was still a pain. I had 4 dogs on it and my nephew got on it also and that was the tailgate. Made some new brackets but I broke one of them. So I put a strut from the trailer hitch to the bottom of the dog carrier and it works great. I will get a pic of it and show you how I did it.

Title: Re: show me your rack Post by: hog bit on July 19, 2012, 08:22:41 pm rear rack (http://i828.photobucket.com/albums/zz201/mandy10479/dogbox1009.jpg) I am about to build a rack like this. About how tall do you make them? Title: Re: show me your rack Post by: Swine-Stalker on July 19, 2012, 09:05:10 pm I measured my shortest dog from foot to mid neck. Mine still came out a little short because i am no welder/fitter but it should work. You can always adjust with the chain hook up length.

Space and usage is another. 4 years of trial and error and this is my final product. Universal just u bolts on. Of course I kept looks in mind too. Who doesn't like something that works perfect but looks badass too. I build mine from scratch. No factory add ons here.
