i have a ybmc gyp dog and every time i go to feed her or even look at her she smiles and grins at me what is wrong with this gyp

She's just happy, I have two gyps that will do that exact same thing. They'll wag they're tail and smile.

I've got a bulldog that will really smile, teeth out and all. For anyone that didn't know better they'd be terrified of him when he does it.

Granted I don't know y'all or your dogs river bottom, but i bet if you ask your grandpa if he's seen that trait and which dogs of his did it, it might start a real cool conversation.


A man I look up to and got a few dogs from identified a quirk one of my dogs does and it was pretty cool where that conversation went.

I got a Cat that does they same thing, if you start talking to him and baby talk him he will start smiling also.

my lacys do the same thing wagging their tail an grinning...scares the tar outta people that dont know the dogs

I've got a dogo that does it. Step mom ran inside one day screaming that damn dog of yours is showing her  teeth at me. I explained to her she was just happy to see her.

Good topic!  This is my favorite dog and good friend "smiley". She is the one dog I would clone if I could.

Here she is chilling with me after a hunt this past winter where she had to swim the big Brazos twice, I figured a good nap on her pillow in the house was well earned.
