Lt. with the local fire dept. I'll have 25 years completed on Oct. 15, so I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel get brighter every shift. Hope to retire early next year and torment the hogs and fish. My plan is to do MORE of what I enjoy.....and LESS of what I don't!!!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D I'd also like to travel more and hunt with some of the fine folks that I've met on here.

Certified CNC technician, I run a CNC lathe. Make hydraulic pump motor housings for commercial lawnmowers,  not much time off but pays the bills, most of the time anyway.

I travel to women's only nursing homes and give risqué wheelchair dances in exchange for blood pressure pills and butterscotch candy.

You too?? ;D    HAHA, classic T-Bob!!!!  Nice visual!!!!  ;D ;D

As for me.... let's see..............

-Framer
-Finish Carpenter
-Full time Bullchitter(yes it has been a money making occupation  ;D)
-Horse trainer(Reining/dressage/horsemanship)
-Plumbing Contractor(this is where it starts to get boring HAHA  ;D)
-started plumbing in 2001, got my state license and created my own company in 04... whooped ass doing construction plumbing, specialized in high end stuff, custom homes/commercial projects... that is until the GREAT DEPRESSION of 2008....... lost my ass.  :(  .... lesson learned  ;)
-Professional cook/deckhand for an offshore tanker(long story  ;D)
-Presently...  I am a hired gun for a big plumbing contractor, anytime number 2(sometimes literally  ;D) hit's the fan, I get called in... I have never claimed to be the best "mechanic" when it comes to the trade, but I am VERY good at resolving big issues... When big bisiness has issues, I am the last word before the decision to do "major surgery" happens... I deal with a lot of pissed off... stressed out people because of it... and it SUCKS!!!!!

... I miss the speed of big/high dollar construction...  I enjoy the "artisan" aspect of the plumbing trade when people are willing to spend the money for perfection.... DAMN IT... I hope this economy wakes up soon.....

I pulled a 32 foot stock trailer to Arkansas to pick up those5 chickens. I just hope fuel don't get in the way of my profit. Might have to have to pay someone to haul them next time so if someone is heading south I could throw them a couple of bucks to bring me 4 or 5 chickens I'd appreciate it. ;D

Oh!! I know what your an is!!! Your gonna stockpile chickens and hand them out to all the fine "citizens" who get off of the BUS AT THE POLLS on election day.tie a pepper to each of the chickens necks that has your name on it and you might sway a whole new section of the electorate

Just got back on here and saw everybodys' posts... Pretty cool and wide spread accross the board!

I work in IT. I am a network Admin. I deal with everything from crashed servers to normal computer problems and everything in between. Its great experience for me, but not really what I want to do. It pays most of the bills though i guess and I have a job, so gotta count my blessings. I also do some computer work on the side fixing them for friends and friends of friends.

Other than that, I try to stay in the woods when I'm not playing with the family.  ;D

Cward, those chickens might be too much for you buddy... You may think about getting into the flea bizz... You know they make a great circus right??? lol! And I'm sure you could get plenty of fleas from everyone on the board!  ;) You'd be rich in no time!  ;D

Dang! You know that might not be a bad idea!!! You could sell a thimble full of fleas for 40 dollars and folks could drop the fleas off at someone's home or business that they didnt like or pest control companies could buy them, treat a house and drop the fleas on the neighbors pants leg while they're in the front yard trying to up sell in the neighborhood!!

Collision repair technician(bodyman) here. Been doing it 12 yrs and am currently looking to do something else. The money is pretty darn good for no harder than I really have to work, but Im only 33 and already have back problems,  and I dont want to be the 50 yr old grumpy body man with a bad back and shot knees. Dont know what it is about bodymen/mechanics, but most that I have worked with who are over 45yr old are some of the most grumpy and miserable SOB's I have ever had to work with.

TNHillbilly, my best friend runs CNC for Baker/Hughes here in Tulsa OK, and he works third shift, and he makes $28/hr.  I see ads all day long round here for CNC guys at $22-23/hr.
