Title: Hurt dog Post by: Cpatt3942 on June 09, 2012, 10:01:25 pm I have a redbone that we hunted today he wasn't coming in when we called him so I walked in to him and he saw me and just layed down I got him to stand and he was holding his left pawl up he will let me touch all over it but won't even walk I had to carry him out I couldn't see any snake bits but still give him a shot of pinicillin and two ibuprofens is there anything else I can do?

One vet said tylenol one said asprin one said ib all said the others would kill em dead well idk csuse I can't get a solid answer but he had all three stated above n not dead

I could not find any bite so I went to the vet. His guess was it had dislocated but reset itself. I just gave anti inflammatory drugs and kept him in his kennel for a week or two alone. He is fine now.
