How come everytime anyone ask for input on a certain situation we start getting ridiculed or taped down on or told how there not doing it right or that they have number 2. That's crap I see it on here all the time it's pathetic. There is certain few of you look at there history it's always telling someone how to do it or telling how they have number 2 it's pathetic. I think if you don't have helpful info to add or something positive to input on you just need to stay the heck off. It's amazing how many people post talking crap but none of those geniuses ever post in dogs on hogs maybe that shows your the real joke you dam net hoghunter. Ya and a buddy of mine just got kicked off because a bunch of know it all wanna criticize his dogs and start telling him how good theres is. Man seriously you guess that can't help a fellow hog hunter out with helpful info just stay the he'll off the net. Y'all all wanna talk about coming together to help against the tree huggers but when someone needs help y'all wanna start talking shut grow up. And oh ya age. Why the he'll does age matter if there is a problem with a 23 year old guy to be hog hunting and asking questions on here set an age limit on the registry for an age allowed to do so.

There is, no doubt, a learning curve for new people to understand how to "respectfully disagree" in each and every one.

I was banned off of the old TX boar dogs website when I first attempted to communicate with Miss Krystal and Mr Mason years ago lol... that chit really pissed me off hahaha... but it was simply a case of misunderstanding between similar people that communicated poorly...

Years later, I am friends with them both, and a better person because of it.  Am I different? NO.  Are they different? NO.

I gave your friend an honest opinion. I said it might have something to do with his dog weight at a 100 pounds. That was what I thought. Never did I down him nor did i down his dog. He said he needed a big catch dog. I said I use a small. Then put jmo at the end. He called me out. Then other people jumped in. I joke on here all the time. I hate to say it but I can put a bunch of pork on the table and it don't matter where I hunt. The thing is no one downed his dogs he got all beside his self. Even threatened people. No need in all that. I understand he's your friend but Stepped alitte over board. Sorry he got ask to leave.

Beard I do recall reading that. His dog being to big. But very next post saying he is not an athlete we turned the dog out from quite a ways he not only made it to the bay also held the hold a couple minutes before the other catch dog arrive. Because the dog has gotten cut on the last three hunts does not make him any less athletic not on here to argue at all just wanna figure out why people gotta do number 2 and say shot they say. There are amazing athletes suffering confusions and many other serious injurys. From doing a brutal line of job. Does that make them less an athlete. And I can assure I can put the pork on the table as well anyone that knows me and my dogs can vouge for that. I am young but not ignorant and seem to understand alot mOre then lots of older men I hunt with. Not all but some Iam not knowledge in it all. He was asking really to help keep his dog healthy. There are few that like to stir the pot I think that statement you made was uncalled for. His size could be big area for the hog to hit. But not being an athlete what do you know about the dog? He flys in and catches check out the history of the dig on hogs he has great for on the ear anchored down his body against the hogs body. Anyways not trying to stir up anymore number 2 than this forum already consist of but just wanted to throw that out there. No hard feeling sir nor do I doubt your claim of catching lots of hogs and using a jack as a catch dog although I'd be a lil lethargic going into a bay with a rank boat caught by a jack be exciting as he'll though.

Well here he is he is one bad cat. He was used in the tdha competition were the all girl team placed 10 he was there only catchdog and weighed in one boar at 300 lbs that he caught and was the only dog caught when the hog was legged. Then he was used in the bumpers competition witch we one. He caught several hogs in that competition.

Pltx Ken, please understand that you have the benefit of knowing this dog, so you would know details of his style and athleticism that we who read a post where a guy was asking for advice didn't know. I will speak strictly for myself.
I read the post where he originally said that this dog gets cut all the time. He gave some good details and seemed to know the dogs catching habits but was asking why this dog would be getting cut more than the rest.

I didn't intend to bash the dog or the hunter. I simply said that I would not continue using a dog who routinely gets cut.

I still stand by that. I'm dead serious too and have put my opinion into practice. Whether a bay dog or catch dog, even if it was a strike dog, if the dog comes back dang near every hunt cut up, then I don't feel that dog is being used in the right job or maybe it's just not cut out for this line of work.

Just becuase a dog can be a hog dog doesn't always mean he should. Maybe you don't understand this statement or maybe I still sound condescending but I'm not.

After that I got rude and said" you big catchdog guys..." and implyd that some folks are scared to grab a hog (which is true, lots of hog doggers ARE scared to grab a hog, including me occasionally).  But cward is not worried about grabbing a hog. He does things different than lots of people and different than me, I wouldn't do some of the crazy crap that man does. (jumping off a horse onto a hog ;). )but when I read people laughing at my friend and calling him an Internet dogger it got the better of me. I'm sure right now you can relate.

It has nothing to do with age. I'm only 25 and have been running around on these forums with most of these guys for like 7yrs... since I was 18. I told Noah to come here right before he got kicked off TB.... thats probably been atleast 5 years ago.  ;D

You live and learn. Tell your buddy to sign up with a new name and different outlook. If he keeps a cool head most likely no one will catch on. ;)

Well I was right in the middle of putting a post on here when it said it has been locked and no one could post to it .

This is what I was about to post.

Maybe you may be turning the dog loose to soon from to far away and it takes yall a while to get there and he is getting cut like that are if he is 100 lbs maybe he is a little slow to get out of the way on some of the faster 225 lb boar hogs.  Then again maybe it might be the angle he is useing to get to the hog but I doubt that he is not useing the same angle every time.

Buy some must disagree remember some have perfect style with that you can never get cut you no how I do it and been doing it for years the dog took three non lethal cuts it's not like he is getting beat down just off vest protection bad luck was all and 300 yards is alot to some most would flip on how far I turn my dogs loose but come hunt with me and you will see it can and will work. 13 last weekend not one cut next night first bay 47 yards in corn cut the dogs first bulldog in with good vest and collar on dead throat shot right about cut collar bad luck is all it is

Then again sometimes chit just happens .  Hell I could go for three months never get a dog cut then all the sudden the next four five hunts get every dog I owned cut .  Chit just happens sometimes and it is gonna happen if you hunt long enuff .  Just luck of the draw a lot of times I guess.

That's it bad luck us all it was I would have never posted that on here though asking any advise this is the worst place in the world to ask Amy advise. I read thru the post and never saw where the guy actually said how the dog catches. It just said he catches perfect in the pen.  ??? Obviosly some thing is not perfect. Perfect according to who?

Just to throw a dart at the board here... I had a bulldog that hardly ever got cut. When it did it was because it was thick brush or some thing and the hog raked it against the brush. Any ways... what was so interesting about the dog is it would catch and line up parallel with the hog pulling back. I never saw it get on the front side. It was always moving WITH the hog... never trying to man handle it.

Its like being a line man in football. You don't want to necessarily man handle the defender and take them in the opposite direction. You move with them in the direction they want to go.

Same thing with the catch dogs. Some catch and kind of stay put. The hog eventually works around gets under them or gets them turned in front of them. That is when they get cut. The catch dogs have to move with the hog... especially if its only one.

This is just my theory from seeing different dogs over the years. It may or may not be the issue.

Ok see, once more for the sake of accuracy. Don't get pissed and think us Internet doggers are telling you our styles are perfect. You just said that dog had three minor cuts. The post we commented on said he was ALWAYS getting cut and/or was cut on EVERY boar lately. There's a difference between three little pokes and a dog getting sliced all the time.

AND I never implyd my style was the reason my catchdog didn't get cut. I specifically said I been lucky didn't I.

I send cd's early sometimes too, sometimes I send them, then realize I'm getting in a bind. I've done plenty of bonehead moves with the catchdog, but a combo of a smart pit, light body weight, good vest and luck Have kept my first aid kit put away

Your theory could be correct. And he was saying he does nOt have bad positioning or have improper form he has seen it catch in pen now pen and woods are different I am aware of that. It was a buying the dog from someone type of deal when he saw it in pen. Just as well as your saying you never saw him put anything about how he catches just he catches perfect. You never saw anyone ask how he caught before the criticism started rolling in either did you generic

Good point. I thought that the dog may be given to clumsiness and have a long history of being cut, it was an assumption based on the info I was reading at the time.

I did notice though, after me thinking that I was an ass and maybe somebody else had been one too that If you go back and read that thread objectively you'll see that while you may not agree with any of us other than your friend, there was no one being a smartass or knowitall until reply number 11. That is the truth. It all went downhill fast from there but all this talk about seriously guys, Internet doggers, us bashing people and all that stuff is really kinda insincere now that I read that thread once more.

Not taking his side not saying he is right he was wrong as any he'll I'm wrong about lots of things some people have anger issues lol. All I got is a few culls. I don't post stories unless i am with someone that asks me to. Mostly because I don't care what people think or don't think. But I am not 23 either. I would bet I could learn something from a 15 year old. Age ain't what is important it is maturity and I have seen some old guys that had moment that they lost it. Talk all the smack you want about me. Even if I do get upset I will get over it fast. I am sure I tick people off all of the time and if they get over it we get along. Too many people wear their feelings on their sleeves. It is what it is and I try to hold back with those people because I don't mean to get them upset. But sometimes it is funny.

If you ask your question then people should be able to give their answer not the one you like. I believe in listening to the answers I don't like. Because most of the time there is some truth in there I don't want to admit. If you ask me I have the perfect wife. Then if someone else says they have the perfect wife does that mean they look and act the same? Well just like that if you are happy with your dogs then who cares what someone else says?

The other day I got a little hot under the collar and got me a six pack on ice. I was only going a little fast but the officer saw the brown bottle and pulled me over. I was ready for a speading ticket. The officer asked how I was and I told him things had ticked me off. So he asked if the drink helped and I said yes without thinking. So he asked for the bottle and I realized what he was thinking. The brown bottle was IBC rootbeer. I told him what it was as I handed him the one I was drinking with a small laugh. I told him I may get upset but I am not about to go do something that just makes it worse. He turned out to be alright and just gave me a warning on the speed and that I had just entered a reduced speed area and was speeding more than I thought. The point is that we all get upset but how you handle it decides how it effects you. You can't blame anyone else for what you do.

So go get a six pack of IBC put it one ice and drive around drinking it. You can also sit on the porch or under a tree. Then you can think about things with a clear mind and not do anything stupid that you regret. Also if someone calls to hunting you are ready to go.

Dub thanks for the post very well said and very true good advise. The funny thing is I'm not heated that was great advise he could have used. As for me I did not get involved and decided to stay silent through it. It's not always opinions that are the things it's sarcastic rude ridiculous post. Once again it seems your referring to today's events. That is what led me to post this but it just always been on back of my mind how some people always bash or talk down. And lie. Name calling will get you banned right so calling someone a lil peice of number 2 don't fit in name calling category. You controlled yourself on here and were “respectful” enough to where you didn’t come across as rude or immature, so there for you got the same in return. We really need to think about these little “fights” that folks get in, and steer away from it… Not only does it make us all look ignorant, but it gives the antis an avenue to pick us apart.
