My wife was just taken to the hospital with severe abdominal pain. I have to stay with the kids so I am clueless until the kids wake up and I can get up there to find out what is going on. My wife is the only one that does not have any health coverage so I am stressed over my wife and the bill.

Sorry to hear this bud, hopefully its something that can be treated easily!

I am not getting any sleep. I wish I could get a call telling me something.

I am at the hospital giving her a hard time about her vacation on my weekend. She will be here at least through the weekend. No official word on anything.

Keep positive dub, let us know if theres anything we can do. More prayers up for ya'll.

They are saying gall bladder surgery. The doctors have to get together and schedule it.

Luckily the hospital is near the house. I stay until kids go crazy. Just 20 minutes each way. But I. Am going crazy. Waiting to find out when the gall bladder is coming out and why.

Doctor confirmed the gall bladder has to come out. They tell us when the surgery will be within 24 hours. Then I will have mountain of debt.

Sorry to hear that.  Hope she recovers quickly.  Bummed to hear that she isn't insured.  That is when hospitals/doctors gouge you.

Money comes and goes, glad ya'll figured out the problem and momma will be ok!

We had to pay cash for my wife's surgery to have hers removed and it was about $7800 cash pay price.

I had a tendon behind my ankle (torn) repaired last year.  They billed the over $12,000 but since I had insurance they only paid the negotiated amount which was less than $4,000.  Bottom line, when the insurance company doesn't control the price it becomes outrageous.  It just costs so much more to pay cash.

Just saw this Dub. Praying for your wife, you and family. Listen, as many people who dont pay squat to hospitals, if you send them 20$ a week, they'll think your a superstar patient and family! Dont even give hospital bills a second thought .

Dang it Dub, hope they yank that sucker out quick and yall can move on!!!

Surgery is in the morning. My kids are way worse than my dog. I can't just put them in kennels. rolleyes

Just saw... Hope everything is progressing well Dub! Prayers sent. Yaeh I agree with the 20 bucks a month thing... I still owe money from when my daughter was born and careflighted. Take care of your family and worry about the bills later man. Good luck and God Speed.

I am here just waiting at the hospital. I iced down some IBC and real sugar Dr Pepper. But the Dr Pepper needs a bottle opener rolleyes I will check for one at the gift shop when they take my wife in.

Thinking of yall Dub,my dad just had his removed and after they took it out all the backpain etc. he was suffering went away too,the human body is a weird thing. Praying for your wife and dont give the kids too much dr.pepper they will be climbing the walls then you WILL want to put them in the kennels!!

The kids have been getting giant chocolate bars, cupcakes, cokes, and just about everything mom says no to. I even let them ride in the truck bed for a couple hundred feet.

My wife is out of surgery and they did not find anything else. So she should come home tomorrow. Thanks for all the prayers.

I'm glad to hear it Dub ! My wife went through galbladder surgery a few years back and you will be surprised at how fast the recovery is. I'll keep yall in my prayers.

It sucked because she went in the hospital and they did not know what was wrong. I have not prayed for God to give her to me so much even before we got married. She is the only person on earth I like. I don't even like myself sometimes but she puts up with me. I am so glad they figured it out and got her fixed quickly. I think it is funny because she has had to be there for me in the hospital and she says all my injuries are because I am ornery. So I told her she had this because she hides her ornery inside ;D She even has to put up with me picking on her when she is sick. She may not like to hunt, she may not admit she likes my truck, and she does not like me having all these dogs but she puts up with me and that takes a strong woman with a whole heap of love. So sure am glad I get to keep her.

YAY! I am so glad that she made it through and that all is good. See, I told you it was all gonna be okay, didn't I?
