i made this collar out of  two layers of 12000 pound towing straps.

Ii know its kind of bbulky and all but its pretty hard for a sharp knife to pierce

I have one like that but went to a single layer with codora gluing the two together.  Also went with 2 collars because they are a little more flimsy than the one like you made.  The one thing I wish mine had was velcro to hold them when tring to cinch down the collars.

i got some i made like that but i used 2 1 inch collars and  sewed velcro on the ends   been useing this for 5 years

Yahoo I'm starting to wish I would of used 2 collars but they didn't have the collars I wanted so. I jaunt got that one.

yeah i made all my own collaes since i started i used the sling web material and two 1'' straps you can get  packages of velcro in the sewing dept at wallywood . it's got sticky backing but wouldn't stay so i stiched em on .

i made mine out of tow strap and fire hose, real nice and very durable and was still flexible to be snug around the neck. very nice collar

Here is some that i have made. The collar on the bottom is for a catch dog. It is two layers thick.

I used 4 inch ratchet straps that came off of a flatbed semi trailer. I have never had one get a pass through.
