Big big ole water mellon patch boar hog been hitting a buddys patch hard hard .  My buddy done got one 300 lbs are better out of there  and there is one bigger .  Turn the dogs loose hunt and hunt noting .  Finally bayed 900 yds off I have hell getting to Thomas who had walked the dogs out there well I finally get there 45 mins later.  the dogs been bayed all this time turn the catch dog loose the hog takes off just as he get there.  They go a mile are two shut him down again send the catch dogs again and again the hog breaks just before the catch dogs get there.  Go another mile are two they got him stopped again this time Am about 15 yds from the hog on one side with Bo and Thomas is about 15 yds on the other side with his catch dog Jack .  Turn them loose at the same time am looking right at this big boar hog just about five yds before Bo can get there wide open the hog takes off dammest frecking damn thing I ever seen he did this three times.  He was big bad and smart he takes off and we never get to him again.   The vest saved my Horn dog he got hit bad in the ribs lung area it went threw the vest but thank God was not to bad but bad nuff  he also had his shoulder cut but again the vest saved him went threw the vest but it worked also my Hannah dog got cut all the way across the back end she will be ok.  Thomas's dogs came out good .  It was ahell of a run.  That hog is very smart and he is a dangerous kinda hog because he is so smart .  We got our hands full with this one I promise you that.

I know y'all don't want to shoot one, you'd rather catch it....but a little lead in the head would wind this story up,....and the good guys would win. Hope y'all get him Jimmy.....hope your dogs heal quickly. Good luck next time you get after him bud.

Yeah that ole boar been around a while and it sure shows.  He will stand a fight a cur dog all day long but once he see's a bulldog coming at Mach III  He is gone dont want to fight just gone had his chance three times today .  Smart ole Hog !

Yep, a well placed .22 will drop him and if it don't i'd still bet money it would slow him down plenty nuff for the bulldogs to seal the deal!!!

Na man it aint no catch dog missing hell Am looking at the hog now if I had not seen it with my own eyes I would be wondering the same thing  and Thomas seen it also from his side the hog is bolting soon as he sees are hears the catch dog coming  .   These dogs dont miss many hogs has it happen sure it has but it dont happen very often and we have caught plenty in the 300 lb range with them.

Jimmy you ever catch hogs, or just chase them?  Why you train all the hogs to run?

Yeah about a hour of it running around behind him trying to lead the way last time and only time that will ever happen .  O I know were they are this is the shortest way come on come on .  Get to were he wants to cross and they are over 1200 yds across a ton of woods we have no permission to even go on !!!!!!!!!!!!!  When they were just 900 yds from us were we started out and had permission to be on .  I ve only been on that place one time so I thought he knew something I didnt boy was I wrong !!!!!!  Dogs bayed a solid hour I know in 90 degee heat are over and that was just the start of the damn mess on a bad bad dog smart hog !   T-Bone was about ready to eat nails when we finally got there and then did eat a box of nails after I told him why Lmao

He didn't get big being stupid or some one would have hem in the bed of the truck with his mouth opened with a stick keep trying u will get hem or u won't but not for the lack of trying

I got four young half Fla dogs I kept for myself off of Cracker X my best gyps .  I got my Cracker dogs cousin a gyp that Rooster brung me , all young dogs  all started and they will all flat put some teeth on a hog in a second a couple are straight to the ear.  So that is four Fla Cracker youngens and  the Cracker dog himself plus my bunch that can hold their on and will pile in like a bunch of Fire Ants.   If a hog can get threw that maze he is gonna be one that needs to be shot !  Not gonna stop them all but we damn sure gonna put some in the hospital this coming year .

So that 15 dogs on the ground at once! Sounds like a cluster to me! Good luck!

I will go back to four dogs on the ground maybe three with a back up catch dog waiting on the wheeler and a young dog on the wheeler also that I will let go when I know the hog is stopped just for the training .  This is how we always hunted and worked out well .

Well u said yay is four off cracker cracker himself, plus crackers cousin and a bunch of others that will all pile up in there and hold there own! That seems to me like u are referring to. Use them all at once! If not, what are they gonna pile up on like fire ants? You also said if a hog can get threw that maze it needs to be shot. Threw what what if your only using one! I re read it twice it seemed to me like u were referring to use all them dogs at once, I mean every one to there own, if u are that's good it just seemed like a mess! !

No doubt it would be a hell of a mess if you done it like that.  I should have explained it a little better but hell I would think most know you are not going to run 15 dogs on the ground at one time that would be stupid as hell . 

I seen that many dogs before lol swarmed about 150lb sow by the time we got too it. No need too finish it off lol dogs done stretched it enough.
