I no we needed the rain here horribly bad but I'm sitting at work and have been sitting here for 4 days not doing any thing cause of the rain I'm bored out of my mind but I need the money so if they will let me sit here and collect this cash I'm going to take full advantage how do y'all feel about all this rain we are getting here in texas

Happy to have it.  I had to cancel my 5am 5 mile run this morning due to the lightning  ...  but that is a minor inconvenience.

Well just half an inch here can't even tell it rained now.

We dang sure don't need anymore right now! This is the first morning since Monday that it hasn't been pouring! I think we have had close to 8" since then. Everything around here is a muddy mess. Pumps running everywhere, farmers trying to get all this water off their rice.

 After last years drought, Im not complaining. I love it. Nothing can live without water.

 I have always loved dark, windy, thundery, rainy days. I also like cold weather more than hot weather. Is that weird?

send that rain to north ok we'll damn sure take it lol

After last year, I promised to never again complain about the rain...

That said, I have a 100 acres that needs mowed, and I had planned to mow it in the evenings this week.  I don't think it's going to happen for a while...

We had 2.5" on Sunday, and nothing left the property, no run off, it just soaked up.  Since then, we've had another 6 inches of rain, and it is just now starting to run off into the bar ditches.

we were lucky an got an in but you cant tell now(tues)..wish we could get some more out west here..ya'll in the east need to share! lol

 The reporters on the news are cracking me up. Its down to a sprinkle in most parts of houston and the reporters are talking loudly and stomping around in the pooled water like its some sort of horrible tragic event.  :D  Its just rain.

Hahahahaha.....they can be a hoot no doubt. I reckon they just have to make a stab at making big news out of anything that happens. It actually rained all night and has started back now....just a slow, steady rain and none has run off,....we're not as dry as y'all out west but it was gettin' kinda dusty here. I just hope they're getting some of this down in south GA where we hunt.....it's been in a drought like TX for over 2 years.

Saw the sun for about 2 minutes yesterday, and thought we might catch a little break. Started pouring about 20 minutes ago. Everything around here is soaked for sure.

Man it's raining cats and dogs here in southeast Texas, starting to look like the swamp in the back yard, guess I ll start huntin alligators. Choot em! Haha
