Title: Trash Breaking Question Post by: jimco on July 20, 2012, 04:27:10 pm I got some free roaming chickens and I got 2 of my dogs pretty well broke from chasing them, pretty much just chewed their asss a few times and they got the message. I am having trouble with my female pup (1 yr. old Cat pup ). She is very gamey and rough. I like the fact
that she's gamey and rough but I need to break her from chasing the chickens. She knows what a hog is. I just don't want to set her back. I have a tri-tronics shock collar. Should I just light her but up next time I let her out? I know what I need to do but I guess I'm just looking for assurance . I appreciate y'all s thoughts. Title: Re: Trash Breaking Question Post by: bob on July 20, 2012, 05:36:30 pm Ive had this problem also , I have 9 dogs on runs scattered all around my place , the chickens like to eat there food out of there bowls , if Im out there with them they know not to mess with them but as soon as I turn my back its over for the chickens , they have killed over 40 in the last few years , at least my bulldog eats the entire chicken legs and all , my wife gets very upset about this subject , I have 4 out of the 9 that will get them if Im not there , I have not been able to break them when Im not there , good luck

Title: Re: Trash Breaking Question Post by: Skeeterkiller on July 20, 2012, 07:19:29 pm Hide out so the pup can not see you and light her up. It may take a few times but you have to break those Cats. before they start trying to chase anything that will run from them.
