Title: Penny caught a Porkypine Post by: weller44 on July 24, 2012, 05:57:20 pm Jt, Wade, and I met up with some city boys from out town and made a run at one of wades places.
We droped Tiger, Penny, Cub, and Jt's bird dog Just after dark a started roading them. About 10 min into the hunt my year old ladner gyp Penny started yipping on a hot track about 70 yards in front it the truck that my ace dog Tiger had just passed over..she went out to about 100yds and started hammering just like she does on a hog the she let out a loud yelp like she had been hit then broke out to 900yds real quick whining and yipping the whole just like she does after a hog beaks..but she came right back and went right back to hunting the road. I was thinking that she had got out ran and just gave up on it. A little ways down the road we pull pull up to a tank to let then hunt around and get a drink before we headed to the next spot. When I finally got a look at it wasn't hard to notice what she had gotten into...she was just hunting like nothing had happened, didn't act like it was bothering her at all. She took it pretty well while I was pulling them out except for the 5 that were in the roof of her mouth..hopefully she won't be trashing anymore! This pic is after I had already pulled about half of them! (http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z441/treydavis44/IMG959152_2.jpg) After we got them all pulled we headed to another spot and all the dogs ended up baying up a big group of hogs and ended up catching out on this sow and we let a newbie stick her..then Tiger rolled out to .8 and bayed solid for about 20 min but the broke but it broke before we for there and we called him in and headed home.
