I'm morbid i know but the dog bite thread got me thinking. I am fascinated by wounds. I should have been a doc or something ;D

If your talking about dog wounds probably not good to let the tree hippies see them.

Maybe you could make this a scar thread instead? I know scars are a good sign of character my grandpa tells me!

Oly know what u mean about the frustration nip been nipped a couple times but didn't ever happen again lol. Dang sure not that bat though. Got onto a dog for getting after cows once and got bit like that was black and blue for a while didn't blame him on that one though.  I carry a cow stick with me now most places with dogs and they know that sucker don't have to break up fights they see that cow stick and know not to fight lol.  Got to love dominate dogs

I've had some others, but no pics of them. I stuck 8" knife in my hand that hit bone once. Have that scar still. I jumped out of a tree and had a pair of hedge clippers go through my knee right between the two tendons behind your knee. Almost chopped my knuckle off when I worked at McDonald's when I was 15 with a tomato slicer. Oh, and I had a third degree burn on the bottom of my foot from walking on fire... That's a funyn story that I will tell later on sometime. I know I'm forgetting some, and wish I had pics of all those.

Thank Purebreedcolt, I been nipped a few times by a few GREEN dogs, like I wrote it was her FIRST hog and she wanted it BAD, it takes schooling with some I have no problem with it as long as once they are schooled it doesn’t happen again or make a habit of it, accidents happen they have teeth and they have drive.  Its been a while BUT I compare it to a bar fight, some guys just loose it and when their buddys come to break them up they swing---they didnt mean to swing at their friends BUT they where caught in teh heat of the moment--- I DO NOT accept it as something that should happen or should be taken lightly, BUT it didnt come from an expirienced animal, she was as green as they get at the time.

On a green dog I see it no different than educating them on all other things to me it’s all part of the fun.

 I rather see EXTREME drive then none at all; I find it easy to work a dog that has it in abundance then one that doesn’t at all.  This bitch in particular hit the hog SO HARD she flipped herself right over it and shock it off and caught it again---I have a daughter of hers that done the same at 7 months.

Sorry guys---I usually stay OUT of the fray--- I come here to learn, share and see some nice dogs and this is a GREAT group of guys and gals. 

I have learned to stay OFF some folks post and threads all together because of this---

 IF one doesn’t KNOW all the details of a certain EVENT then either ---ASK--- or keep your opinions to one self UNTIL the details are revealed--- before you go jumping in on someone’s back make sure you actually KNOW what went on--- I do not believe a young pup can be CULLED for a first offence ESPECIALLY if the offense is;
1. Geared towards a positive outcome. 
2. Easily fixable by training.

Got rolled up in a machine lathe. Was measurin my last part of the week the machine kicked on somehow in reverse caught my shirt in the chucks spinnin about 1250rpm doc said if I was 50lbs.lbs. lighter id be a dead man. Took 17 internal stitches and 32 staples and a broken rib or 2

i took the stitches out to early and it started opening up, i tried butterfly band aides but they wouldnt close it. I ended up using super glue and then layed some bandage on top and then wrapped it in duct tape. every few days i would have to re apply more super glue but it worked.

i wish i had a cool story like a shark attack or knife fight or 500 lb boar came after me but i dont. I was helping a friend do a transmission swap on his trans am and was loosening the cross member bolts, one of the bolt was really stuck on there so i put a little ass behind it and when it finally broke loose i had so much force on it my hand hit some metal flashing under the car and just kept going. Sorry for the disappointment.  ill try and find some more pics of when i almost lost a nipple. Dr said if it were any worse he would have just cut it off and built me a new nipple. I had it taped to my chest for around 3 hours. So for 3 hours i was the one nipple guy

don't look to bad anymore but the scars on my ribs took the most staples and the longest to heal and scars in my armpit they had to go in and sew muscle back together. Right after it happened it really didn't hurt to much and I didn't wanna go to the doctor went to a clinic in manvel thinkin it'd be a couple quick stitches but they looked at it and sent me to a urgent care place in pearland and then they sent me to memorial herman s.e. after they got me stabilized cause by that time I had lost alota blood they finally got me into a room about 10:30 and it all happened around 5

I wanna play!  When i was 18 i was working as a welder building feedlots, we were digging holes with an auger and a 108 hp tractor, it was a cold morning and was using my welding gloves while shoveling sand out of the hole as the auger was digging,  the breakaway bolt on the Pto shaft caught my glove and shattered my arm.  The glove was torn off and half the skin on my finger went with it. the bad thing was that i didnt notice the finger cus my arm was in a really big arch.  We didnt see my finger till got to hospital and was too late to save it.  So now i have 2 plates and 5 screws i. My arm and can never wear a wedding ring  ;-)

how did the guy who had his head cut heal up? I saw it on here a couple of years ago... he was holding a boar down and slipped i think and got the horn pretty bad.  that was a bad one!
