Title: Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
Post by: TShelly on August 01, 2012, 06:07:01 pm
Heads up. It's running prevalent this year, Erik's had four dogs come down with it since spring. If you have a sick dog and not sure, ask for a tick assay. The vet has said that they have seen a large rise in tick borne diseases in the last 3-4 years. Not sure why but it is becoming an issue. If left untreated it will kill a dog, big e lost his best young gyp to it in the spring

Thanks for the heads up. We live down here on the coast and I think we are immune to the mosquito born illnesses seeing how I get bit by about 6000 of em everyday.  ;D
