EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

Well myself, Kyle, Brent, Ricky and his son and friend all let the dogs out about 7  I guess.  Started out kinda slow dogs all hunting good staying out 500-600 yds .  They made some rounds ckecked in and just doing there thing.  Ole Brent needed to break in his brand new Polaris Ranger this was its first huntin trip .  Well it got broke in his catch dog seen to that he had a bowl movement right in the new bed and sent all of us running.  Ole Brent been feedin that dog to good LOL !  Well we all left ole Brent there he was cleaning the dog poop out of the bed mean while we were slowly making our way to the back towards the creek .  Dogs still hunting really good ,  about the time Brent got to us ole Whitey cut loose and it was on like donkey kong.  All the dogs chimmed in and the leaves were a shaking in the trees they were about 200 from us and I said the hell with it turned Bo the catch dog loose because these are so big and such runners .  Well we take off behind him on foot and guess what yeah the big hog breaks goes about 600 yds up the creek and they get her stopped .  With all the blood weeds we could nt even see so we went back to the wheelers and took off to em.  Get about 150 and all the dogs are hammered down we have to walk the rest of the way get to the creek and boy o boy I looked down told Brent hell that aint no big hog and about that time the bitch tried to make a turn and thats when I said holy crap thats a biggggggggggggggggg en  Brent just a laughing. All my dogs hunted well Whitey , Horn , Ole Blu and Brent has two young dogs that are really really coming on they gonna make some hex of a dogs both staying and hunting hard with mine.  Ricky had hsi ole yellow dog there Buck he was right in the middle of things as well.   Well after this the pics and the video can tell the rest of the story this was one big ole sow .  Aint no telling how many offspring this ole girl has running threw these woods and she was a hell of a nice hog .

What a hunt had a hell of a time.

The dogs smoked this ole big sow she didnt want no more she was trying to go threw this creek bank and in a hex of a place to get to her.

Good hunt Jimmy.  that sow sure found a good hole to back into under those tree roots that could got real ugly.

That is a big sow ! Is that one of your leopard pups I see in the 3rd picture ?

No I think that is  Bo big ole spotted bulldog of mine we were trying to get him out of there .  Brent and Kyle done took care of the hog .  Hes hell to get off a hog .  I turned him loose when Whitey struck to try and cut down on some of the running she broke right before he got there I guess and they went around are close to 700 before they got her stopped and it took us a while to get there .  I figured he was getting pretty hot but hell he was cool as a cucumber still just  give out .  Ole sow poked him about six times under the chin and jaw area got some pretty good hole there gonna be sore for a while.  I think Brents young bulldog got a few pokes too along with one of his cur dogs.

Hell that may be Brents bulldog its hard to tell in that pic he was latched on hard and didnt want to come out either.

I just thought the leopard dog standing on the log behind Kyle in that one picture looked like one of the leopard pups you showed me. It's the same pic that you are pulling the dog up the creek bank.

Oh yeah thats one of them didnt see her there them damn bloodweeds got my eyes screwed up burning watering like all get out.  She done ok just another young dog in the woods her second real hunt and first real hog in the woods.

Man, I had a blast and the weather sure was nice! I appreciate you letting me tag along. The dogs worked good, and I got my ranger broke in, just not exactly the way I wanted.

Glad you had a good time Brent.  I can tell you this much were we are hunting there is boar hogs bigger than that sow .  Hell I have nearly been run over by them after they break and they will come at you hard and have had dogs cut down more times than I can count and been on chases were I bet I lost ten pounds lmao myself .  I had one break bay before I used a catch dog and come at me in the bloodweeds one time when I was hunting with a gun. I turned and ran back to the wheeler beat him to my wheeler jump over the seat landed on the other side swung around to put the sights on him to late and he hit the back end of my wheeler and knocked it back on me blew out my back tire and as I swung I threw down on him and hit him in the back of the head with 12 gauge slug he went down like a brick .  I got his head out here in the back .  So be sure you got your staple guns and a ton of needle and thread and plenty of antibotics for us and the dogs ahahhahahahahhaahahahahahahaha.  Its boar heaven out there man !

Dang sounds like i need to come hunt with yall. Boar heaven.... Sounds nice
