When the world stopped turning 11 years ago today?
I was in the high school parking lot, we heard it on the radio

I was building a walmart in league city. Jets were flying over head like i had never seen before so i turned on the radio to see what was going on. Sure felt weird.

I was actually at home skippin school. My bro was at school tho. If I remeber school was actually locked down

I was still working at the big company at that time and I saw it on the news channel when the first one hit...I was thinking it wasn't an accident and then the next one hit...and then there was no doubt...and then I remembered what Nostradamus predicted...

I'll never forget the fealing I had...for the first time in my life I wanted to join the military!

I think I was in kindergarten.....

I was removing a tree for a guy at Hilltop Lakes. I was 30 ft. up in an Oak tree topping it out and the owner ran outside and told me and my helper to come inside and watch the TV. I got inside just in time to see the second plane hit the second tower.

Sitting in class and the Principal came over the intercom for all teachers to.turn on the televisions and meet in the hallways. It came on and there was smoke coming out of the trade center and just as the teacher walked back in to try and explain what was going on and she looked back and we all saw the second plane hit. Will never forget that site, and then all the teachers started going crazy we were sent home shortly after

I was at the Lufkin Ind/Trailers plant in huntington, Tx pouring a curb n then my phone rings putn me on alert to go up there for rescue ops.

In bed. Working nights at the time. Phone call woke me up and got the TV on to see the second one hit. Like said above I still remember that feeling.

Senior year of high school, I walked into woodshop class and saw smoke coming from the first tower, we were a bunch of dumb kids joking about what kind of idiot the pilot musta been when we all saw the second plane hit. We were angry and when they cut the footage of the streets of various Arab nations and I saw their men women and children jumping singing laughing dancing in the streets, I knew true hatred for the first time in my young life. The pictures and videos still make me choke a little and even though the media won't show the Arab reaction footage anymore, I will never forget.

I was waiting at the air port in san fran cisco to get on a plane back to australia. Had been over here breaking colts in california and they closed the airports down,somebody said there was a war going on and i honestly thought i would never get home,2 weeks later i finally sucked it up and stepped on a plane. It seems like just yesterday.

Sophmore in highschool in eco class, my coach (teacher and close friend) was from New York and lost four college  friends in the attack on the twins towers, 11 years later I can still see his face as we watched it on tv. It was a very sad day. Prayers to all who lost loved ones.

I was on my way to Atlanta to pick up my daughter, she was living there and her car was broke down, so I was picking her up to bring her home for a few days. I was listening to John Boy and Billy on the radio and Randy said a plane had hit the Trade center. I remember when the second plane hit I knew it was going to be bad but I had no idea just how bad. People were leaving Atlanta by the thousands....all hiways going out were bumper to bumper.....I remember telling my daughter that life as we know it now will never be again......didn't know how right I would be. I lost 343 of my brothers in the Fire service that day.......still hurts years later.

I was in my truck listening to " bob and Tom". On the way to pick up some material for a job.

Freshman in high school, we were in athletics and were down at the track running. Our coach left us during it and we thought that was strange. When we all finished up we went back to the gym and he told us to go ahead and clean up and get dressed instead of lifting weights. He then told us before the bell rang and we watched the tv the rest of the day in school. Never forget 9/11/01

Had just walked into the office at G&W hauling & rigging to either pick up a load and head out and it was on the tv. They were saying that someone blew one of the towers up and that we were fixing to go war. Then we watched the 2 nd plane hit.
    We were all in shock and dis belief. They had me hiding every trailer that had any government markings on it rest of the day.

In 3rd grade at Mark twain elementary sittin in class didn't really understand what happened till my dad explained it when I got home

I was in 4th grade I remember some teachers came in our class crying and whispering to each other and when they finally told us what happened we didn't really understand.

Getting ready for work, my aunt called me in to the TV and I got there to see the 2nd plain crash. I instantly had a weird, sick feeling through me. 9/11 initially was what recruited me into the military.

1st floor of Harrell hall, on the quad at TAMU.  Just got done with morning workout and breakfast.  Getting ready to be in class when an upper classman was running up and down the hall yelling, telling all the fish to come out and see.  I got to a room with a tv in time to see the second plane hit.  It was crazy what went on in those dorms after that.  I know I didn't go to class that day but they were cancelled shortly thereafter. i was 23 and fixin to get married , i was in the woods by myself cuttin timber , no cell phone , got a cup of coffee and a biscuit for break -heard about the first plane on the radio - got the log truck loaded and turned on the radio again - 2 nd plane had hit - tied the mules and started to the sawmill 40 miles away - stopped to eat lunch and heard about the pentagon and the plane in penn. - wondered what was next , and was wishing i could get in on the scrap that i knew was to come ....  i still wish i could catch and tie and mark som a them u no wats .


   but thats o.k. i'm sure my boys will get to , -  i just hope it's not close to home  ;)

At work , hospital, getting an open heart case started. Spent the morning running from my room to the break room to get updates. Couldnt stay gone more than a minute or two,,, i remember thinking the planes were smaller than what they actually were, i didnt realize the Towers were so large.  You look back and wonder why we trust any middle eastern countries,,,  God Bless so many families and friends who lost loved ones, a Physician i worked with lost his sister.

In the shower when my roommate came running in and told me i jumped out turned the shower off. I ran down the hall and saw the second plane crash and sat there watching in disbelief. When down later that day and donated blood. I will never forget that day. Like i always say if your going to kill all the hogs you have to kill the sows and shoats!!!

I was at work at a bodyshop about 3 miles from Tulsa international airport, which also houses a large air national guard base. We were watching on tv when the second plane hit. About a minute later, a constant stream of F16s were hitting the air. It was almost a daily thing to hear those jets flying over, but I remember wondering how those pilots must have felt knowing they are going in the air for real this time and not on a training mission.

Skipped school .... remember seeing it because no cartoon would come on ...was only 12

I remember like it was yesterday. I had just got in second period (first period of the day for me cause I had just got there  ;D). The TV went from school news to the real news and videos of the first tower smoking... I didn't even say anything... I just got up, and walked out. I lived down the street from the school and I left my Blazer in the parking lot, and walked home. As I sat down to turn the TV on and see the second plane hit... one of my buddies knocked on the door and had left school as well. Then in the next hour or so there were probably 5 more of my friends to show up just shocked. I was pretty upset, and I tried to inlist in the services but my family wasn't having it... Looking back now, I still wish I would have inlisted, but at the same time I am married with a wonderful wife and child now, so I need to count my blessings. Prayers have definitely been said for the families of the fallen. God bless them and all that were left behind. We will never forget!!!!!

i was in 7th grade. english class. the phone rang and the teacher had her hand over her mouth and clicked the tv on. the first tower was smoking and little after i watched the second plane hit. we watched the towers fall and then the feed was cut by the principal.

couple months later i was expelled from the school along with some buddies of mine for jumping a kid that wore a turban. it was local news for a good while.

I was a sophomore. I had stayed home that day, both my mom and I were sick and laying in the living room. I had just taken out a bowl of rice-a-roni from the microwave when my step dad calls and says that a plane has hit the trade center. Mom turned and we saw the second plane hit. Watched the news the rest of the day. I will never forget that day.

Heading to school late due to over sleeping and hearing about it. My closest cousin is a emt somewhere in that area .. we were scared when nobody heard from him ... He was called on scene and no time to call .. thank god he was ok

I was 8 years old at home about to leave to go to Mcdonalds before school... We were watching the news before, during and the weeks to follow. My mom had later become good friends with a guy by the name of Fred vlaskey from Dallas tx and was a president of a company that was meeting on the 2nd floor of building that was stuck first... He didn't know why or how but that morning he left his briefcase in his hotel and had to take the subway back to get his belongings.. Upon the return he was distraught at the screaming, crying, horrid people trembling everywhere around him. We will never forgive or Forget!!

I was in 5th grade in the middle of changing classes and I looked across to the high school and seen the flags flying half masked asked the teacher why was thay down and she said you will find out when you got home so I got home later that day and watched for the first time about 4 o'clock that evening

I was at my companies home office in Houston being told I was going to Lakeland Florida till December. 5 minutes after that the first plane hit, when the second plane hit life had changed. T-Bob you were right that day we knew exactly how the muslims felt about us, Where ever they were celebrating, they should have sent them some Daisy Cutters and Tomahawk Missles. What you saw that day was pure hatred toward the USA.
