Let me know what you'll pay for one and I'll ask my friend if he'll make one for you(I've been meaning to learn how to make one myself ;D), let me know the specs of what you want.

I always used the nylon ones from BigBend saddlery.
Had a good handmade rawhide one, and my horse stepped on it and pulled it in half. :-[
The nylon always lasted a whole lot longer, and had a good feel to me.

my grandma s got one that was my great granddaddys , probably made around 1900 . when i was a kid my dad used to take it down and pop it every once in a while ... till it broke , and it hasnt been uncoiled since . she also has his old branding iron wich she has kept registered all these years . if yall run across any real old cows around dunnellon - ocala area with a diamond j brand please tie em down for me . lmao

ill see if my wife will put some pics up of them .

The nylon always held up real well for me in the mesquites and cactus.

That just looks like a corral snake.  However, don't worry, I think is actually a king snake.  If it bites you, you won't die.  At least I think that's the truth.

My guy said to just buy one pre-made, there's a saddle maker in Ocala that makes them for $12/ft.  Jonnie Ruff I believe.

I love whips I have a women right here by me who builds some of the best I use a 7' with a long handle helps keep it away from your horse my arms are to short to pop a 12 footer thats like throwing a 60 foot rope ain"t got enough arm I'll just ride a faster horse 35' plenty long enough for me!

thats what im wanting is a 6 or 7' with a  long handle. I have an 8' right now, but its weighted a bit much and wears my arm out to quick.

cward we have the same philosphy when it comes ropes and whips for sure! LOL!
