Title: got a.question Post by: chestonmcdowell on September 22, 2012, 05:25:53 pm How do u like your dogs to work a hog from stopping it to baying it up to the catch dog getting there?
I personally like it when one dog bites the end of a hog to get it stopped and turned around then another dog get in the hogs face and start baying while the other dog loosely covers the hogs rear if there is more dogs the cover loosely. Then realese the Cd about 50 yards the Cd runs in there not in full speed but at a fast gallop so he can accuartley grab the hog ear. Lying on the side of the hog. Legs locked. Once the Cd catches the other dog catches too. Jmo. But probly only in a perfectworld. So how do u like your dogs to work a hog from stopping it to baying to the catch dog getting there?? But when I get there I like to see that hog laying down and a dog right in front. Then when i can see the pig send in a catch dog. I like to be right behind the catch to grab the pig. A quick flip and tie then off for the next one. Now if that could happen every time I would be in hog heaven. But it happens every now and then and that is good enough for me.
