Nice pics, I usually bowfish, bassfish, do a little offroadin, and round up reptiles, mostly snakes for summer camp displays, but lately all my time is devoted to doggin, so in the off season I'm workin and trainin dogs.

i do a lot of firearms shooting (pistol and long range mostly), gonna try my hand at some F-Class shoots, bowhunting and 3D shoots.  i use to do a little field archery as well. other than that i used to do a lot of backpacking in Colorado and New Mexico, but i haven't done that in years.

well i usually slow up alot on hog doggin in the summer , i will hit a few easy places on a cool night .
i train alot of horses so im usually riding horses all summer the kids are out of school and we love to go camping with our horses.

the end of july for the past 5 years i have taken my horses and mules to colorado and stayed in the mountians for a few days,,,  well it started out jast a few days then it turned into 2 weeks the last few times i have gone.

i pack in my dutch oven and i could stay up in those mountians till snow starts falling.

i have a small saddle shop doing all kinds of repair (mostly my own stuff), and making stuff when it gets hot.

i have a big smoker and i have 2 gathering a year working cattle and castrating horses ,i have a few broodmares and have cut my own horses for about 25 yrs.

if im not hunting im helping someone work cattle or riding colts.

bow fishing is a big deal here in my family too( we shot at and missed a lot of snakes this last weekend at proctor lake-but shot lots of carp and gar)  we do alot of hog hunting in the summer in the early morning hours before to hot, i usually have hunters at least twice a month even hot months- i have a pasture that some hunters just come and hunt out of blinds also  so anyways we do alot of hunting  and fishing for stripers still just have to work around the heat! when my wife says AINT IT TO HOT TO GO------(((( I ALWAYS SAY ITS NEVER TO HOT OR COLD  BECAUSE EVERY HUNT OR FISH TRIP YOU MISS   IS JUST ANOTHER HUNT OR FISHING TRIP YOU CANT EVER GET BACK HAHAHA)))) SO KEEP FISHING  DOGGIN OR WHAT EVER YOU DO  AND GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if the bigger ones get up that far north, its kinda far from the breeding area, and salt water, but I had some buddies that came down from mississippi and shot a good un' further north, I think it was the dallas area..

yea i dont know either! they all go behind the dam at livingston somewhere in there  i dont remember where you get in but they also catch catfish unbelievable size too they have a big barge they use for the catfishing trips  they are some lucky people  thats all they do fish and hunt-- when i was a kid they had hog dogs-coyote dogs- squirrel dogs-cats dogs-coon dogs- cat dogs- and deer dogs -they had  different dogs for different animals  but they also use to could hunt anywhere they wanted but all the city folks have moved there and dont want anyone on there anymore!  so they have a big lease around livingston area  that they still do hunts on  you cant deer hunt with hounds any more and they are in their 60s now  so their boys have almost taken over the business things have changed 99% there now they use to sell all the coons- squirrls-and fish they didnt want to help out but there aint to many old timy folks left- I GUESS THATS PROGRESS  HAHA  well anyways they were raised in a little town 35 miles north of livingston called Moscow, texas  well enough rambling   good BSing with yall  good luck and good hunting

That last post made me laugh. Several years back had a buddy give me a name and a number of a guided fishing trip on livingston. Mind U I have never been on a guided anything. (I still believe old sparkplugs make the best fishin weights) Anyhoo I decide to go took my wife and my dad. We get there 2 hour drive mind u, pay our money and get on a fishing barge. The guys "guiding" us get on the top and we get on the bottom. We get just as close to the damn as u can legally and the guys cast to the damn. I do have to say their casting abilities could have been an olympic event. Anyways it worked like this they cast u wait they holler  fish on and u reel it in. I reeled and reeled and reeled and reeled it was a BIG BAD mama jamma! A whole flippin 5 lb catfish. Moral of the story even a shad feels like moby dick when u have to reel him in 2 miles and man I wish i had those guys jobs! I just know they were up there laughing like crazy drinking a cold beer getting to catch all them fish and us paying them money while we did all the grunt work.

well they only charge $100 a day and I charge $150 a day for a half day  you are guaranteed your limit or you dont pay   YOU AINT GUARANTEED NOTHING WITH ME BUT FISHING  they catch 20 and up cats all the time  the reason they do the casting  i never seen anyone else in the world cast that far but them  i figure its worth the $100 to have a boat on the water furnished  I KNOW I WONT GET MY BOAT OUT FOR THAT  HAHA any ways thats the way i see it ADIOS GOOD HUNTING

I like to play golf quite a bit and probably gonna start getting pretty big into varmint hunting in competitions january thru march, lots of fun and money to be made if your any count. So anybody from the Wichita Falls area that don't hunt their yotes or cats, let me know I can always use more coyote land. haha

I do a LOT of rifle hunting.  Summer time is best for hitting the rice fields and water holes.  I have made quite a few contacts in the firearms industry over the years and get pictures of gear (guns & ammo) with dead hogs for advertising for these companies......I have a PASSION for rifles.

Also have 2 small children who I devote a lot of time to and try to include them in as many hunting adventures as possible.

i bet it was.....ya need you one of those auto lead flingers.  the damage that could be done with 3round burst would be pretty sweet.  you could lay em down with something like that.

When they're out in the middle of the rice and runnin in a circle the 20 & 30 round magazines empty pretty fast.......When huntin rice it is quantity of rounds down range rather than quality.....All it takes is that one pig to realize what direction the woods is and you only got a few seconds......gotta start spittin lead and adjust from there...... ;D
