I show mine hogs when they are old enough to follow me to the pen. I let them see the sights, sounds , and smells in a controlled safe manner. No rush. They start up when they want. Don't over due it and never put them with too much hog until I know they can handle it. Both ways work fine. I think my way is better as exposure to different things builds a better dog.

Title: Re: what age and how Post by: 7Mhunter on October 24, 2012, 04:31:59 pm earlier the better had some just barley could walk straight and when i went to feed the pigs they figured it out couldnt keep them out had to put them up everytime i left the house and they would escape and go get in the pen and with a 350lb hog that never touched them ended up being some awesome dogs
