i'm feeding caliber 24/20 at the moment 22.75 @ at the co-op in canton and sulpher srings i just switched from loanstar 24/20 wich rose to around 25.00 a bag by now maybe more haven't checked . but basically any good 24/20 will keep them slick . as far as putting weight on a dog put it on a pro-biotic and adjust feed according to each individual dog . you cannot go by the manft. suggested rations every dog is differant to some degree . some of my dogs get 3/4 can some 1 can and a couple get a can and a half to maintain them according to how i like my dogs to look .

Valu-Pak 26/18 $20 for a 50lb bag. All my dogs are maintaining very well on it, and holding good weight. Not running hot when working either.

Diamond, it comes in a lot of different colored bags for different uses, I use the red bag at about $30 a bag.

When I wanted to put weight on a dog I would go to the bread out let store and buy old bread, give one a 1/2 loaf a day plus his  food and he will gain weight.

I've been feeding the Caliber brand  feed for a few years now and have very good luck with it.  I'm now feeding the Value pack 24/20.  Tops,Caliber, and Value pack is all pretty much the same feed from Specialty Feeds out of Tennessee.

Without a doubt in my mind! I had my dogs on diamond before and some looked ok, some stayed thin and their stool stunk to high heaven and wasnt always hard resultin in more cleanup. I will say this, when i changed to sportsmix my oldest dog (8yrs old) found a whole nother gear.....the difference was night and day, he could and would hunt ALL night if i let him. Im a sportsmix believer!

if you want em to gain weight, add melted lard or bacon fat to their food
