Title: NICE BOAR 4 to 5 in. cutters Post by: westexasboys on June 03, 2009, 01:28:37 am Loaded up yesterday afternoon went out west of town to some salt cedar lakes didnt have much luck caught a couple of shoats and loaded up and headed out east. By this time is was 11 o'clock and we were makin our usual round spotlightin wheatfields and finally saw a big boar on the edge of a field. We let Red and Wasp our two curs and Logan and Hobo our two stags out and they went right to him and I cut Cinnamon loose they had him. I took off runnin to em and tyler grabbed the truck. Cuz they were close to the road. When I got to him I saw his cutters and I was in awe cuz they were the biggest I've ever seen on anything we had caught and I just knew the dogs would be cut up. So I legged him and picked both of his back legs up so his head would be stuck in the dirt so he couldnt get the dogs. Tyler got there and pulled the dogs off and we flipped him and tied him. To my surprise not one dog had a scratch or cut on him. The trailer we usually pull behind the truck had a flat so we didnt have it and the truck we were in has all boxes so I had to call my step-dad to come help us and load him in his truck. He was kinda mad at first but when he seen how big his cutters were he didnt complain so we loaded him and took him to out holdin pin. We guessed him about 275 to 300.
