If i was of the age catagory, i would voluteer just for internal insight n training n spill the beans on their tactics n training so the TRUE Anericans have some knowledge of their actions n a way to counter-act their secret movement.

I have a question, I'm not sure if its worded right or will make sense but here it goes. If we actually were able to pull away from Obama, "which I'm perfectly okay with' would we have to make our own army to to protect us? Also would we have to find a way to make our own gas?.. I guess I just don't understand what would really happen if we did go through with this plan.

YES WE WOULD NEED AN ARMY, BUT WE ALREADY HAVE A GOOD START WITH OUT NATIONAL GUARD. FOR NATIONAL SECURITY WE WOULD NEED REFINERIES, BUT NATIONS DO  TRADE. ITS DO-ABLE, NOT EASY - BUT NOTHING WORTH HAVING COMES EASY!

You would be surprised on much your state (every state)  is funded from within. It would be very doable. You can find studies on line and/or wherever talking about if the states went independent. Pretty much Texas and Alaska would be the only states that could be %100 self sufficient. Before you non-Texans cut my head off, that's not MY opinion, it's National Geographic s and professional analyst opinion so don't yell at me.

sure we would have to regulate. the first step would be to cull the state/country of the ALL the liberals, illegals, freeloaders and just plain scum of the sewers.

it will take gorilla warfare to wage and win war against a modern military, and then slowly advance into a new civilization. look at nam, and operation enduring freedom. both wars are/were fought against an enemy that used gorilla tactics. even with all the modern technology we have today, it has taken over 10yrs to beat back mountain gorillas, that are fighting for a cause, a cause we may not inspire to be part of, but needless to say, they are fighting for their cause. aint nothing worth anything if you dont fight for it, it wont come free.

that it is correct. i took an oath to protect this country from ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. the enemy is in d.c., not just 1 man, but a city in whole, those are the enemy. i amy be a little on the plump, kinda round shape, but like i said while i was in the militry, im not in a hurry to run into a wall of bullets, by i'll be danmed if im running from it. i will stand and fight and hild my ground, but it will take like mr. jimmy said, more than a couple 100,000, let along just chubby ole' me.

I am wondering though. Why is it only tx that is spoken of with these petitions? There r 20+ other states that filed the same petition, even states that he won the electorial votes n popularity votes, dont want be part his plan for the downfall of america

Texas is probably cited because we were the first over the 25,000 signature threshold upon which the WH will respond to a petition.

Now, is this a serious effort to secede?  Not in my opinion.  There are 25 million people living in Texas the fact that 25,000 or even 100,000 is interesting but not significant.  230 bills were filed yesterday for the upcoming legislative session and I haven't heard that any of them proposed secession.  Even if one is filed, it will never reach a vote.

The fact of the matter is, it is allows us another avenue to express our displeasure with the current government.
