i went to the doctor and he said in 1 1/2 weeks im going in for surgery. there going in through the front of my neck to get to my c7 dis. pulling it out and putting a fake one in and sending me home with a neck brase . i will have to lay my dogs up for 6 months .  man and i just bred 3 bitch on my yard . this is going to really sux, for 8 wks i cant lift anything. the only good thing i can get out of this is , the pigs will reproduce and hope the land owners dont get another hoghunter to come in. maybe some of my buddies will come by and take me hunting, ill fill like and old man . hell yall can call me pops,lol.  sorry just down alittle had to vent. well i cant believe iv got 5 empty chains on my yard and 1 kennel, that number 2 dont happen very often. well yall just keep posting good and funny chit on here for me to read, good hunting to every one , and im still going to have my tourny.

That sounds like a pain in the neck. Pun intended. I hope you can at least take it with some humor. I always say you either laugh or cry. I try to laugh.

Don't feel old, lol, I'm 31 and I have both back and wrist problems already.....doesn't stop me from hunting with my dogs though :)

I found out last week that there's a good chance I'll need back surgery in a few years. Good luck with yours. You'll be bored out of your mind for a while but it'll pass. Do as the doctor says in regards to your recovery or it'll take a lot longer to recover.

well thanks my friends and thank god my wife loves my dogs , she will feed fine and if she didnt i would find another one , they make more of them,lol
im hoping that i can ride around and at least listen to the dogs andenjoy some good old company.  hope i dont go to crazy and shoot all my dogs ,lol oh god it starting already,lol

Sorry to hear about your back Monty! You probably hurt it going in after that biggest hog Redman had caught solo in the TDHA tourney, those were some nifty moves. Good luck on your surgery boss

Sorry to hear that,Monty, i know you'll go stir crazy! But as hard as it will be, do what your doc says. Dont lift a finger til he sez so.  No use in goin through all that and mess it up cuz your just gonna "help" a little. We'll keep u n our prayers

Sorry to hear that Monty... I will be praying for you and your family. I have a friend that is 65 and had back surgery in April. He had his L1, L2 fused together and was playing softball 6 weeks later. It is amazing what those Doctors can do today. Good Luck

I know how you feel!!! I broke my neck hog hunting and was out for 12 weeks with a halo on my head.. At first I thought it was going to be a long recovery but it went by fast.. To make it even worse I found out I had brucellosis from wild hogs on that Friday and then I broke my neck that Sunday hog hunting.. But it didn't slow me down I was hunting on the 13 th week and not a prob with neck yet, but I can't say the same for the brucellosis , it still gives me problems.. Good luck..

Damn Monty, this sucks!!! Have your wife meet me in Fort Worth one weekend and we will go catch some hogs, you can drive us around and pick us up.
