if u want all the bells n whistles. go with a full 4 rail fwd handgaurd, flat top upper and have the factory gas block/front sight post removed and get a 3 rail gas block with byonet lug or get the 4 rail gas block. ther are some places that offer and full rail upper that locks onto a full 4 rail handgaurd, but i think that system is around 1200 just for the upper. the first method is the most cost effective

Thanks guys. I have a flat top upper with all magpul stuff now. I have checked out cheaper than dirt. Forgot about sportsmens guide though. I would like a quadrail though. Im thinking a simple red dot or something. What are your thoughts on them and is there anything better you would recommend?

Optics you can't beat the nikon M223 scopes.  I have a burris black diamond and seriously thinking about buy a m223 scope for mine I like them so much.  Me and the wife both have timiny triggers again well worth the money. Like my houge grip.  I like the 4 rail gas block and if your shooting hogs or any varmint go with a green led light I will have to look to see what I have like it better than the lasers and cheaper.  I don't like the quad rail tubes or at least some of them they are rough on your hands.

EOTech but if your going to go all out get an Trijicon ACOG. I can give you a lot more info and a deal on EOtech products if you want to PM me. If you want to go with a cheaper version you can check into an NCStar.

As far as the rail I would go with a Troy or Midwest industries free float. Red dots I would go eotech or aimpoint. I have a zeiss on one and a kahles scope on another but that's just bc I already had them. There is so many things you can do to one.

My advice, keep it simple.
Flat top.  Low profile gas block. Barska Red dot.
I do not like the red dot, and will soon change to trijicon due to battery and weight.  There is nothing wrong with the Barska the trijicon is just better.

Whatever you put on it and no matter how "cool" it looks, remember, all the extra crap adds weight.  If you have a wife and kids they will not be able to use it comfortably.  "Cool" won't protect your house, and you can't always be there.  Ask youself who will be firing this weapon and why.

This my youngest child, and AR in the photo.  Now minus the vertical fore grip.  She is 14 and has no trouble handling this weapon or the other one just like it.

Thanks all for the good input. I think im gonna keep it simple and light since I may not be the only 1 to use it. I am gonna check out the eotech and trijicon stuff though.
