Title: new years day hunt Post by: bob on January 02, 2013, 08:20:02 am we headed out in the boat on the river ,I took 2 bay dogs and a CD and marvin did the same , it took a while for the dogs to put it together , my older dog was yipping on track alittle for some reason , this went on for a couple of miles and then it was on , we bayed a boar in super thick crap and got him , the dogs rolled out and bayed a sow , on the way back to gather up the boar we gathered up 10 piglets which 5 of them were black and white spotted hogs , then sally rolled out and left the country , I left the group and off I went , marvin and the others stayed and packed the boar 500 yd to the river for pick up , before I made it back to the boat sally had came back
we had a good hunt for the first one of the year and every one came home unscaved , also found a deer head still in velvet (http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z413/bobscoggins/bradysteps059_zps32c4e4cb.jpg) gretchen [ CD ] sally and candy Title: Re: new years day hunt Post by: bill jones on January 03, 2013, 12:57:23 am sounds like a good time but did u let the pigs go

Bet them dogs was happy to get back after the pork! Deer hunters are bout out of the woods now and it's time to get after some swine. My plan is to hunt every weekend from here on, and see if these young dogs I got are worth a darn or not!
