Title: Scuba gear Post by: Shotgun wg on January 13, 2013, 01:48:27 pm Ok. Who knows a place to get scuba gear for dogs. We have gotten over 8" of rain since Friday and this is the only way I think I can keep the dogs from drowning while hunting.

Title: Re: Scuba gear Post by: justincorbell on January 13, 2013, 05:15:12 pm We are swimmin in southeast texas as well! Ready for some sunshine, my yard is embarrassing, we remodeled the living room and kitchen week before last and it has been to wet to burn much less get a truck back there to pick up all the trash
Title: Re: Scuba gear Post by: sanman on January 13, 2013, 07:00:34 pm Water came up alot behind my house. Been shuffling dogs around. Looks like this north wind today has pulled it down about an inch, but we got about another inch just ahead of it. It's at the edge of my concrete kennel about to come in. All my chain outs are way under.
Last week(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/14/apudapuv.jpg) This was Tuesday, and it's come up a good bit more since then. it's up to the edge of the concrete on the left side. (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/14/upe5u6e6.jpg) Poor bulldog been shuffled all over the yard, lol. Got him high and semi dry now. The water at the back of the second pic is over my knee boots! Title: Re: Scuba gear Post by: Swine-Stalker on January 13, 2013, 07:07:36 pm My dogs are at the white dots way in the back. Looks dry but a couple of them are in an inch or so of water... Mostly mud. That's about 100yds of water
Title: Re: Scuba gear Post by: SLacowboy on January 13, 2013, 07:50:42 pm Pretty depressing here. Dogs are dry as of right now but I'm running out dry places for cattle. Have 90 acres that isn't flooded but impossible to get there by truck right now. Title: Re: Scuba gear Post by: Shotgun wg on January 13, 2013, 09:14:53 pm Been hearing on the news it was getting deep down round Crowley and over round Eunice.
Title: Re: Scuba gear Post by: Swine-Stalker on January 13, 2013, 09:18:55 pm Where you at cowboy? We had to run errands across 2 towns here in Livingston parish, saw about half a dozen cars flooded in ditches.
Title: Re: Scuba gear Post by: SLacowboy on January 13, 2013, 09:34:04 pm Gueydan. Live up against a bayou so that's where my water is comming from. Has not gone up since last night so I'm hoping that's as high as it gets. Had some good rye grass that's been under water since Thursday and also about 60 bales that are in a foot of water.
Title: Re: Scuba gear Post by: Swine-Stalker on January 13, 2013, 10:21:31 pm Damn that sucks, hope it gets better. We are still getting pounded but I am on somewhat high ground. I think we got 6 more inches today, probably around 2-2.5 feet for the week. It just won't stop!

Anywhere along the Mermentau over there is flooded. It's so high, the bayous leading into it are all backing up. That's what's pushing it up on me. I live right on Lacassine Bayou, and they all kinda flow into the ICW and Grand Lake. I prob maxed out about as high as I had during Rita. Same with most everything right close to me. It's starting again over here now. |
