Title: Dog's eyes reflecting, only 1 shines Post by: Myles Man on January 14, 2013, 02:00:06 pm Im wondering if anybody has seen a dog and has had only 1 eye reflect light at night. We noticed this weekend on a cur gyp that her right eye shines fine out in the spotlight, her left eye has no reflection at all. In general, she seems fine in every area, no signs of being blind. She is 9 mths old.

Did the same towards the good eye and the dog would flinch or look up. That's how i knew for sure one eye was bad.

Title: Re: Dog's eyes reflecting, only 1 shines Post by: Myles Man on January 15, 2013, 09:02:03 am Well, Sat night while hunting we noticed for 3 hours the no reflection deal.....last night me and my daughter took em out, and she was reflectin off both eyes as they are supposed to be...I guess its a weird deal either way. Im just glad shes got plenty of hunt and---and it looks like she always will ;D yay for her!!!

But if its dark and a little light hit him his eyes glow bright red... I mean BRIGHT like you took red suran rap and pulled it over a flash light. If you shine a light in his dog house at night you can see the red reflecting off his white paws. Freaking creepy!!!

I have doctored on it with some ointment I got from vet but it don't seem to work. |
