Well boys Ive gone and done it now...just got this gyp yesterday .....supposed to be the real deal!! Comes from good bloodlines!! Im gonna hunt her Saturday!! If she can keep up with my two male catahoulas I might just keep her around!!

Now.....what's the backstory on her brotha?

This gyp is supposed to be ladner x wetherford ben bloodline!! She was purchased out of Arkansaw! She is 2 yrs old! I got her from an elderly man who is no longer able to hunt and he swears she is the real deal!! Supposed to be medium ranged...not too rough..but tight baying! Says she's got tons of bottom and stays busy in the woods!! Ill keep y'all updated as I hunt her!

Yepper.  Put her in the Timber and let her speak tha language.

youu are heading the right direction! My real question/surprise is how the hell you manage to keep those dogs from tearing that kennel to pieces, mine would blow through that in no time flat lol.

A little boot therapy works wonders on a rowdy dog!!! Plus they like living on my place they get treated good!! I just got rid of a gyp that wouldn't stay kenneled....I don't put up with stupid for long!! Lol

I was gonna tell ya to I talk to Mr. Harvey yesterday and he said that yella brindle gyp is hunting out good by herself. He's very happy with her.

im not gonna mention any names but I have a friend that has a son of cutter(Catahoula) and has bred this dog to many reg high bred catahoula females and none of them will out hunt my other friends yellow curs  them yellow curs will out hunt his cats a thousand to one and when I first started hog hunting all I had was them nalc reg Catahoula's they would all bay good but they never found a hog and they were suppose to be the best of bloodlines this and that all they done was go to the bark help bay and help catch I dn't have anymore and im glad not to have them

Well u musta been hunting with lemons...I've hunted catahoulas for 12 yrs and I luv em! Those two NALC males are probably two of the best dogs I've owned!!

Ive seen a couple of cats that wil flat out hunt and find pigs. Dont know about there breeding doubt either one was NACL

Out of the 5 Ladner dogs I've seen none made the grade .. so I would be suprised if she's any good ! But that ain't nothin compared to the leopard dogs I've fed to the fouls of the air !  ;D I'm not color blind but you'll look high and low to find a decent Catahoula and BMC's are fastly following the same path ! Jeremy who's the first person  you started hog huntin with ?

Yea I thought I remembered you comin along When we hunted Wanagin Lake Club in Bon Wier about 10yrs ago .  But I don't think you had any dogs yet ... Ole Bell was great but  she only produced  a couple good pups 1 got hit by a car and the other got killed by a boar hog ! I've only seen 1 or 2 catahoula's since Bell that I'd feed ! What the mother of your male dogs named ?

I don't think I ever hunted with her .. Mike used to bring those male dogs and a gyp named Molly  with me and Nash I'm thinkin the sire to your dogs was a big leopard dog Mike had . But  I never got to hunt with him because he jumped off the fourwheeler and hung himself ! Mike Faircloth raised those dogs but because of some kind of terrible sickness he  has to be under full time care in the nursing home and  he's  only in his  late forties or early fifties.   

Man that's terrible ....nash told me about that .....those too cats have done me a fine job though ...im proud to own em!!
