Post by: Irondog87 on February 21, 2013, 06:35:29 am
Any of you fellas heard of Melvin's dogs? My partner is trying to find him or a relative,  he used to have a few dogs out of his line and said they were awesome dogs. Y'all heard of him or this line?

I can't say that I have ever hunted behind one of Melvin's dogs.  Don't even know if he still has any.

I have had some dealings with him in the past on horses, and one of his old partners in crime, comes out every weekend and rides at my place.

I know his son well. He lives about 3 miles from me. He must still have a few dogs cause his grandson went hunting with him the other day and posted pictures on Facebook

I just heard about it from a friend. Melvin told him he could breed his lead male if he wanted some pups. They know each other pretty good my buddy is Brandon dement. He is big into coon hunting now but a few years back he was big into hog dogs. Had some good ones too, some of his best ones came from Melvins bloodline.
