Title: Registering a kennel name Post by: BRK on February 21, 2013, 10:45:51 pm Is there any benefit to registering a kennel name? Is there any down sides?
Title: Re: Registering a kennel name Post by: halfbreed on February 21, 2013, 11:01:25 pm you talking about registering with the state and getting a tax number ?? there is really no need to register a name just to have a kennel . call it what you want to and advertise as such and it's your kennel name . now if you want to register one with the state and get the tax and resale perment , you will need to research the new laws about how many gyps you can have and how many pups you can raise and sell before haveing to become compliant with the new laws and restrictions that go with it . but if you are just wanting to have your own name on a kennel and dogs , like i said just pick you out a name and go for it , maybe place and add in bayed solid for a couple months and it's yours and when you register a dog [ if any ] put your kennel name in front of the dogs .

Not going for the state crud they're already in to much business as it is.
Title: Re: Registering a kennel name Post by: halfbreed on February 22, 2013, 02:45:48 pm i agree lol i started to PAY to have my kennel name on my catahoulas but decided not to . nalc is the only registry that makes you pay to have your name put in front of your dogs . i don't know what they do with all the money they get lol they don't even offer a website . i've got a couple of registered cat's left and i will most likely register them with ukc and drop out of nalc all together . but it is nice to have your name in front of your dogs so that years from now you can look on papers and find your dogs in that somewhar lol .
