Title: dc 30 charging question Post by: tushhog84 on February 22, 2013, 07:15:56 pm have any of yall had a problem with dc-30 collars not charging up all the way. i have 3 that have not been charging completely the blue light will be off on the collar but when you turn them on they are not charged. just wondering if anybody else had the same problem and what can i do to fix it.

One of the first things I do when get in from a hunt collars go on chargers.

I use fine grit emmory cloth then put a thin layer of dielectric grease. I clean mine up about once a year and don't have any problems.
Title: Re: dc 30 charging question Post by: Cajun on February 23, 2013, 03:11:47 pm I have had that happen on a couple of dc-30s. I called garmin & they said to take the collar apart & disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes. I did that & the collars charged up fine.
One word of caution. If you hunt in & around a bunch of water, make sure that gasket is on right. I have started using gasket seal whenever I have to take a collar apart. I have had two collars in which water leaked in & fried the circut board. |
