Title: Too hot to hunt!!! Post by: Cristina on June 28, 2009, 05:20:09 pm So we went out today at about 5 in the morning and got to hunting at about 6, walked around some areas we wanted to check out but the dogs didnt pick up on anything. Then we hit up an area that was closer to the river so that the dogs could cool down cause it was so hot. We started to check out that spot when we heard our dog cody open up then we heard the hog squeal. When we got there the dogs were caught on this lil sow. It was so hot today so we called it a day and were out of there by 11:00. I dont think we want to hunt until it rains some. While the dogs were cooling down in the river a couple of alligators started heading towards us :o Got the dogs out real quick. Here are some pics.

Keepin' close to the water right now is about all you can do... sure is a good thing gators are protected, we all know how important it is to have man-eating dinosaurs living in our waterways....keeps the ecosystem "in check".... weeds the weak humans and dogs out of the genetic pool rolleyes
