Title: hunting a dog in heat Post by: bccollier on March 01, 2013, 08:24:29 am my catch dog is in heat i got a male im trying out i need to hunt is there any old tricks to put on her to make him not sniff hump etc. ive heard a few things but this is place to ask . sorry if this has been asked before please help i want to hunt

So pretty obviously don't be screwing with his sence of smell. Also yeah, if you have no other option, get one of them dog diapers from petsmart and leave her in the truck.

I hunt females but you lift the tail before every hunt. If she is in then she ain't going out. That is the way it is. I won't waste your time messing with you to try stuff that won't work. Putting grease on your brakes when they squeal is smarter than hunting a dog in heat.

Title: Re: hunting a dog in heat Post by: brett83 on March 02, 2013, 06:10:13 pm I run Vic's on my dogs in heat it works great I hunted like that this morning I only run one male dog all others are female he hunted great with her this morn no sniffing or humping an old timer told me along time ago to use Vic's and it has worked for me don't put anything on his nose just on her try it in you yard if you don't beloved me. Then when you see it works load up and hit the woods
