10 month old female out of tank and jenna from bob cox. Last night was her 3rd time to be in the woods on a hunt. She is showing great potential, her second time hunting she was ranging out by herself staying gone longer than the old strike dogs a couple of times. I really hope she makes a dog.

My little yella gyp is coming along great! Right at 10 months old and I got her for free about three months back cuz she wouldn't bay. The black dog is Smoke, 1/2 parker 1/2 mtn cur...he is 10.5 months old and is comming on...rough pup and has one heck of a locate bark...

the dog with Smoke is JJ...good friend of mine gave him to me...same blood as my old line of dogs just went a different direction with it...he was too gritty for his type of mtn cur...I like them 10-15 pounds larger with a slick coat...the dog hunts and finds pretty quick, not quite 2 years of age...

The brindle pup is named Tiger and he is Smoke's littermate brother...he has been in the woods 2 times and he made the trip on 3 good sized boars and was a big help with catching...

The whole pups came off a dog i use to have that was son of wrights western pistolero an they are all barking on hogs but only stayed with a female, an have high hopes for her, an the year old comes out of a line in Lufkin tx. Idk why but all them curs come out looking like if they've got a lil lacy in them but are some solid curs

Had 12 little yellers hit the ground two days ago.  Got some high hopes for them. It's a breeding between my very young male(15 mos), and my buddies sure enough 6yr old female. While I don't normally believe in breeding a dog as young as mine, these two dogs are the most hog hating, suicidally stupid rough catching dogs that me and my buddies have come across. And that is exactly what we are hoping to reproduce. Everyone that has seen this dog work has been impressed with him, and I've had several offers to buy him.   None of these dogs will be for sale. They will be split up between me and 3 hunting buddies, and if they don't turn out, none of them will leave our yards.

I showed the male his first hog at 7mos from outside a pen with other dogs baying cuz I didn't have a small hog to put him on. He literally climbed the fence and did everything he could to catch. Took a good cut in his chest that time that I didn't see till,we pulled him off cuz he never let up a bit. Been in a pen 3 other times on nothing less than 150lbs and caught them all, no bark in this dog. At 10mos old, he trailed something 2.5 miles, and I had to call him out from the road cuz I didn't have permission, but he come out covered in blood from chewin on something. Don't know what, but I don't care for a pup that young. 12 mo old he found and caught a 60lber by himself. Never heard a single bark from him. He gets out and hunts hard and would be even further along if was was able to put him on more hogs.

The female has been on countless pigs. I have hunted behind her a bunch, and it is rare to hear her barking, shes always caught when we get there. She's not as rangy as the male, but hunts hard and has found plenty of hogs on her own. My buddy had a littermate to her that was the same way but got snake bit on her chain and died last summer.

T bob here's the male that I got from the watermans. I lost his sister to tapes I think but not sure. She was fine one day then the next morning she was dead. Almost like she was very dehydrated. Well here he is, his name is Rev guess its short for "reverse" both parents ybmc and he came out saddle back. Only reason I bought this dog was cuz I seen the dogs uncle hunt an was one of the best bmc dogs iv ever seen hunt! An he's a spitting image of his uncle

Not much at all... Haven't messed with them lately because everytime I do they piss me off and I start getting an itchy trigger finger...  I'm trying to be patient with them and let them mature but their 1/2 littermates my buddies have will flat out roll...

Two I have high hopes for.
The jagd is 6 months old and is out of Missouri Blood Trackers I believe they're called and Serbian Import. Gamey little sucker! I've had him baying pigs since 4 months and now he's in the woods with me already showing signs of becoming a great dog. The BMC is out of Dr. Longs Abe and Dolly. I'm just letting her run around an be a pup. Can't wait to see what she becomes!

Don't have any cur dog pups right now but these two bulldog pups started pretty good for 10 mo .  They will hit the woods in a few more months but I sure like these two.

This gyp is owned by lacyman, she is a smoke and bonnie pup, bonnie came from Mr. Witherspoon as well, she is also off of his sue sue dog and I believe his t-boy male. i bred her last year to raise and keep a litter out of my smoke dog due to his age.....she had 1 puppy, talk about chapped my arse, it sucks breeding a good gyp, she was out of hunting for almost 3 months during and after the pregnancy to raise the pup......... I was pretty ticked abt the situation and ended up giving the pup to colby so i didnt have to mess with her, glad I did, he has been hunting her tail off, if she ever learns to back up she is gonna make 1 hell of a dog!

Izz...nice pup...can you tell us more about the lineage? I like to see a 6-7 month old pup running and gunning with the big dogs...Let us know what the pup is doing at a year of age...

Sorry Reuben as far as lineage goes hes not too sure of. The mom of this pup was given to him from another friend at a early age. the mom grew up the same way as this pup a real early bloomer and non stop when hunting.she was halft mountain cur half ybmc.  As far as the dad he was half plot half bmc and was the same way when hunting. My buddy told me the dad came from a guy in Edna, tx ray sanchez. Will definitely keep updates on this pup. Heres another pic of the pup with momma.

Showed my slick pup a hog for the first time today, a semi calm 80-90lb sow. he is a hair over 4 months old now and he did great, most natural pup ive raised. If he coulda held on he would have stayed caught the entire time. He is ruff ruff ruff, hoping with a little more age he will learn to back up a bit. Time will tell but im happy as can be with him after today.

Pair of littermates I kept over this year. Sent one out to a friend other day to replace one of his main dogs getting killed. The one in the back is a half brother to both of the front two that i kept from last year that is doin sho nuff this year.

Youngster just turned 9 months and my buddy sent me a pic of two hogs he has caught with him on 2nd and 3rd time he took him to the timber.  Ran him with his hounds on the 4th hunt and they caught 3 and lil feller ran one for 6 hrs.

Very proud of these crosses.

I posted way back on the second page of this thread bout my litter of yella's. Here is a video of the the 2 I have left at 10 mos old. This is only their second time to see a pig, the first time was at 3mo old. They were bred to be some rough dogs and I think we may have got it. I left them on for bout five minutes or so and they were trying to chew their way in the pen.  They got some nose too. My buddy took a littermate hunting last weekend and she went on a run, got lost and ended up back at the boat. Bout an hour later she back tracked to us almost half mile away. My pups are going to hit the  woods this weekend, and I'm liking what I'm seein go far.

Myles theres a few out of my ginger gyp that are doing excellent, one particular pup has really impressed me, ranges out 500 - 1000 alone and has struck a few on his own all before a year old, took a cutting and stayed hooked. The rest I really don't know about haven't heard any reports lately.

Myles, most of my dogs are foundation bred but I do have some that are from Gary Bell out of Bells Montana and out of Jimmy Hills Missy. And the last pic is a female pup out of my foundation male Clyde crossed with Bells Daisy. Daisy is out of Montana/Missy. That is looking like a awesome cross! And that is not a river but a little pond in my back yard. Lol

Thanks mike, I have 7 pups to weed through out of two litters, hopfully some will make a dog.

Gonna finally pimp my pups i reckon. These are from my lady dog and my percy dog AND drifter. Percy and drifter are both from  Jesse Pauls yard. These pups are a little over three months old and this is the first time to see a hog out of their kennels. As everyone does I have high hope for these suckers. If they follow in any of there parents footsteps, I think they should be hog dogs. I guess they are composed of 1/4 plott bear hound stuff 1/2 cur 1/4 hill country cat hound? Hopefully in about a year they will be classified as "juicy".... :)

They are out of a saddle back dog I owned that passed on me about 6 months ago now that was my lead dog and a dog named lacy that's hound cur that's now leading the pack and doing dang good.

Here is the main dog in our pack. He's a year and a half old but can smell a 3 day old hog track. I know most hunters would hate him because he barks every breath on track but in our area a track dog that barks works out great for us. He does a great job of holding hogs to the bay until we can get the catch dogs there, then he likes to help them out, which I wish he wouldn't.

I do love hounds.  Used to own quite a few 1/2 running walker, 1/2 plot hounds for coyotes. Boy those dogs were tough on coyotes though! 

Our track hound is treeing walker.  I need to look at his papers to tell you exactly what his blood line is, but the daddy to this dog is a grand champ coon dog.  He's a big built dog, need a picture of him with something for reference to show his size.

This the only male that made it from my litter he just finished a pretty good deer race. I kept 4 of the 5 males and lost 3 in the last couple months.be a year in July will tree a turned out coon and bay anything that won't run or climb should be a good summer project.

Updated pic of my skeeter pup, he is almost 14mths old now and ugly as ever lol, his coloration/ears come from his great grand daddy on his dads side who was a plott hound used as an outcross on this line. he has been hunting since he was 6mths....... This little joker has caught dang near every hog he has been on since day one including more than a couple good hogs. the man i got both his parents from said his daddy (my old smoke dog) was plum ignorant rough when he was younger. Im hopin skeeter figures out how to sit back a bit like his daddy does now in his old age or im afraid he wont be long for this world......we will see. I gave his 2 littermate brothers to two close friends and although they don't resemble him in the leg/ear departments they are acting the same in the woods, this coming spring should really let us get a good assessment of them, so far with exception to the stupid rough aspect i really like what im seeing.

What's the breeding on them pups Decker?

They're just some cur dogs with a touch of hound in them. I bred my best male to a gyp that I wasn't really impressed with, but came from some really good dogs, she had some English blood in her.

now like I said I'm new to hog dogs but when do you boys put your pups on a shoat? My pups are 4 months old and I believe I got 4-5 singled out as tree dogs, but they are all bay up fools . whatever make it will show out between puberty and maturity.  I don't want but 1-2 at one year but I swear these pups are hard to cull
