1. I had a decent spot to hunt that I only caught and cut boars. It was great for me and my dogs. Hogs didn't run with my loose baying dogs. I kept getting asked by people to bring them because they assumed it had to be the best spot in the world since I always caught hogs. I was nice and brought them. From then on they went back almost every day without me killing or keeping every hog and running the old barr hogs completely out of the country with their rough dogs that they claimed could catch anything. I gave up on that spot and let them have it and now that I've got another spot, they get mad because I don't invite them. I don't like my dogs hunted with rough dogs. I like my dogs because they were bred to hunt and bay and let me decide what I want to do with the hog when I get there.

2. I don't like people telling me my dogs are fat because you can't see every bone in their body. If you think you've got the healthiest dog because it's skinny, use Worm-X, Ivomec, flea pills, and SportMix on them and then tell me if they don't look different. My dogs eat a handful of food a day. They used to be bony until I started worming for tapeworms.

3. People that want every barr hog out of the woods but have never cut a boar. Or if they wanted to their dogs chewed it up before the got there. Don't take advantage of the hard work others do. Keep it fair and do it right. I can only remember keeping two barr hogs in my life but I've cut a humongous pile of them to see someone else get them that has never cut one.

Haha on a serious note that's the exact reason I only bring FEW super close hunting buddies to my spots... Unfortunately it's not the good old days and you can't trust just anyone.

   lmao  I keep wondering just when those good ol days were  ,  spot jumpers and inconsiderate folks have been around all  my days .  but I know where you are coming from neches just a sad but true fact about mankind in general , it's been that way since cain killed able   lol

I agree half breed those people have always been around and are not going any where. you have to be real selective about who you hunt with and that's kinda of sad for the people that want to help people out. I know there are guys that hunt the leases that I pay to hunt that don't pay to hunt anywhere but I cannot do much about it so just grin and bear it. I try to find more places to pay to get on but haven't had much luck.

Sounds like you don't need to call them friends.

Yeah Sure is hard to find a good huntin partner that wont burn your spots with other buddies.

And I agree with you about rib dogs, Either feed them or shoot them, Dont starve them. I understand you might hunt your dog 7 days a week twice a day, well compensate on their feed. And a little ivomec never hurt no one.

This kind of stuff goes to a mans raisin. I was raised that an invite was just that. An invitation for that hunt. Not to hunt a place however u feel. I don't have any good places right now. My best place was ran hard till we don't see any sign which is good beings its a farm. I have a couple folks I hunt with time to time. I have a hard time asking folks if I can join them so I wait for an invite. If invited I thank them for letting me join and won't take any meat. During the hunt I hunt the way they do and take a support role. When I leave I tell them thanks again and if they would like me to join again call. Without that call I will not go back.

If nothing else I can say I was raised right. Lol

I feel your pain Brian been there done that. The only difference is I like a little grit in a dog.

Don't get me wrong, my dogs are plenty gritty. They'll put their teeth on one Just as much as they need to. They know what hogs they can and can't catch though. I don't like a strike/bay dog that will try a hog and make them run when they should be baying it. I've got great catch dogs that will grab one. I don't need my other dogs getting cut or running a hog any further than needed.

You're taking the wrong kind of people with you bobcat....simple as that. If they were any count they wouldn't go behind your back like this. If you think back on these 'friends'....you'll see where they raised a red flag with you about something early on......at least I hope you can see that. You seem to be a man of his word to me,....so I know that you have seen something in these folks that you knew was wrong but chose to overlook it. I'm sorry, but I cannot understand any hog hunter getting on this or any other forum and asking if anyone wants to go hunting tonight......I've never seen you do that but I know some do. This, to me, is how you get in with these less desirables,....I won't take a person with me unless I know them VERY well and have for a loooooong time....then sometimes that's not enough.

Sorry that you've gotten in with these bad apples,....I know it's hard to find a good, honest hunting partner that will actually go when you want to,....good luck and I hope you find some good folks to hunt with. If you lived closer I'd be willing to go with you or take you with me........after we got to talk some in person....... ;D

X2, some folks can be trusted, but it only take a few dishonest a-holes to ruin it for every1. Its sad neches that them so called friends did that to you, but they showed their true colors n not be allowed on another hunt. Folks like them aint worth the hassel

Agree 100% its that way with a guy down the road from. I know where some of the land we hunt is and 1 place is a 1000yds away from my house n i keep clear of it with his invite, and that goes for anybodys land i aint gotten permission to hunt w/o them. That chit aint right to do.

If they don't like it they can hit the road. Whenever we go to a place that I know, we are going to hunt it the way I feel we will be most succesful. I have a quite a few guys I hunt with time to time and thats the way they hunt also. I have a hard time inviting myself because I don't like my phone ringing off the hook when people hear we are going some where. If invited I thank them for letting me go. During the hunt, I hunt the way they do wether I like it or not. If I don't like it I'm a grown man and I can leave whenever I want. When I leave I tell them thanks again and if they would like me to come again give me a call.

I won't ever call that land owner and ask if I can go back hunting without the person or people I was invited with either.

In my eyes, if I invited people to go hunting I am the only one that should be calling that land owner and asking to go from then on wether they know them or not. It's just understood. I thought everyone new this was understood in hunting but I guess I was wrong.

That's the way I see it...i know of several places I could most likely get around my house but someone already hunts them so I stay away from them... I thought this was just an in written rule when it came to any kind of hunting? But on the other hand I prolly would try to slip in on some of BARMBARS land without him knowing >:D

I've had it happen to me more times than I care to mention. It's pretty sorry. Some people are pretty good at convincing theirselves that it is alright when they don't have any places to hunt but let them get a few places and then have someone do it to them on the same place that they claim jumped you on and they will squeal like a shoat. They will never even realize that it was KARMA biteing them in the a$$ !

Well Marc if I did slip in on some of your land I would have to call you and see if you wanted to go hunt it with me cuz after my last trip with you I dont even have enough dogs left to get it done  myself!

I DID that too, next thing I know MY spot close to my house is gettin hunted by my "buddies" and people they invite............... :o.......hmmmmmm

Uh oh! That is sorry. We take a lot of different people hunting on our places and as far as I kmow that has never happened to us.
 But if it ever does, they will have an enemy for life. You dont walk into my home uninvited and you dont hunt our spot uninvited if we are the ones that took you there in the first place.

Mrs. Dinah AKA Djshogdogger.........how many times have I hunted with ya'll?????? has to be at least 2 dozen or more......... as good of friends as we have become (same goes for you lacyman) I have 1 VERY SIMPLE QUESTION

If you found out that I was out hunting your property that ya'll were kind enough to invite me to in the beginning as a COMPLETE TOTAL STRANGER would you be inviting me on hunts in the future???? or even talking to me for that matter???

Incase it's not obvious Justin's referring to me, I in no way shape or form was attempting to "take" his spot. And by all means I ve apologized to him and didn't mean to seem as if I was taking it over. As Justin well knows I d do anything he need me too and I invite him every time I go anywhere. Justin along with other Ethd members Dinah and James, mr Bryant, peaches, mike etc have been nice enough for me to tag along on many successful hunts. If I knew this was how justin felt about this property I would have stopped immediately. Again I apologize and don't want to come across as a "land thief" all I can do is learn from my mistakes..

Justin , look at it this way .... no hogs are gonna get caught by Lacy dogs so your place is still good.
