Title: Garmin DC-50? Post by: BARMBARKENNELS on May 21, 2013, 10:37:14 am Heard garmin is about to come out with a DC-50? Anybody heard or know anything?
Title: Re: Garmin DC-50? Post by: Peachcreek on May 21, 2013, 11:12:19 am All i have heard is they are going to be a tougher case and a cable type antenna with the gps antenna on top like the dc30.
Title: Re: Garmin DC-50? Post by: Caseydejohn on May 21, 2013, 11:26:30 am So they'll pretty much be like the modified 40s that du sells?
Title: Re: Garmin DC-50? Post by: BARMBARKENNELS on May 21, 2013, 11:34:16 am that's pretty much what ive heard? have any of yall run those converted collars? ive seen one but didn't get in any country to really test the range on it
Title: Re: Garmin DC-50? Post by: Caseydejohn on May 21, 2013, 11:42:45 am I bought one last week but haven't used it yet. What ever dog I put it on will be double collared. It looks a little to nigger rigged for me to trust the first time out with out another collar.

Post by: charles on May 21, 2013, 11:56:11 am How bout color rigged for pc, LOL, i read that n did a double take, was discussin this topic at work and had to insert foot in mouth really fast. After a lil prying, the black guy found it hilarious, figured he woulda thrown a chit fit, but he's just a bama raised, "left in the oven a lil longer" guy, who tore his race card up and burned and runs dogs, coons, not hogs, but a good feller
Title: Re: Garmin DC-50? Post by: R.ScHmIdT on May 21, 2013, 12:49:38 pm Talk to the garmin people at the NRA convention in houston. The guy saif they would have an external gps like the 30s with an improved tougher antenna. He also said they are going to be anouncing them real soon and doing everything they can to have them on the market before the weather cools down and people start hunting more. He said maybe around September. He was a pretty cool guy aswered all my questions. Gave me 3 Garmin hats.

Post by: Woodsnwetlands08 on May 21, 2013, 01:50:46 pm I seen were someone posted something about the du modified dc 40 collars. If anyone is considering sending some dc40s to them I highly reccomend them. I sent them 4 collars that would start out tracking good, then eventually they would drop the collar and sometimes never pick back up on the gps. After getting them back from them they work great know. They do really hood work, very professional job. The collars look great and function awesome. I have two more collars I will be sending to them very soon. For the price you can't beat it.
Title: Re: Garmin DC-50? Post by: BARMBARKENNELS on May 21, 2013, 02:17:38 pm That's exactly what I thought when I saw it. The external antenna was wrapped in tape and I thought the guy had done it himself. He said no it came back like that. I just ordered 3 more 40's so I hope there is some way to add the external on to them when they come out. The 30's seem to work better than the 40's because of that.

That's right I forgot about that. Hopefully the dc-60s will come with a reloadable b12 shot to give em some umph when their in a race Title: Re: Garmin DC-50? Hopefully the dc-60s will come with a reloadable b12 shot to give em some umph when their in a race and a reloadable .22 lr shot so that all you have to do is push a button to cull a dog at up to 1 mile away. That should make it easier to do since you don't have to look it in the eyes when you do it. Title: Re: Garmin DC-50? Post by: BA-IV on May 21, 2013, 04:25:18 pm That would be a bust Lance.
The dog peddlers wouldn't make any money off their culls no more doing that ;D Title: Re: Garmin DC-50? Yea but theres 2 flaws to that "engineering" lol 1) after said dog is culled who is gonna walk a mile thru the woods to get the collar?!?!?!? And 2) what happens when your non hunting buddy decides to go huntin with you and says, hey whats this button do then clicks it.........now refer back to # 1 lol Title: Re: Garmin DC-50? I know some folks I would use the collar to "track" ;D >:D Title: Re: Re: Re: Garmin DC-50?
