We lost 6 deer lastnight to coyotes in our high fence place need advice on how to poison them

I don't know much about poisoning them but I do know that snares set along the fence lines has worked great for the hf ranches that we hunt.

Buy some mouth calls or an e-callee and get to calling.  It's both fun and effective!

Get some cheap chickens and feed them strychnine gopher bait for three days, clip their wings and turn them loose. Be carefull, it will kill any mammal that eats the chicken.

Soak meat scraps in anti freeze

  poison sure a bad way to go  lol  i'm with mike c get a good mouth blown  fawn call for about 15.00 and call them in and choot um . lots more fun  . early in the morning or a red lens spot light at night . don't have to shoot but a couple and the rest will skidattle .

not for sure but don't they make anti-freeze animal friendly now?

Goin to try calling tonight then put foot traps and snares on the trails they travel under the fence and antifreeze and chicken see which way ends up with the most kills thanks everybody for the advice I sure appreciate it

Modern day anti-freeze comes with a bittering agent in it to deter animals from ingesting it........I didn't believe it either when I first heard it but its no lie lol, don't ask me how I know.........

If they are killin your fawns! You should use a fox pro and use whitetail fawn in distress should bring in what ever is killing them! Just don't miss lol!

Where are you? And how do you know for sure it was coyotes. 6 deer in one night sounds like a little much for some coyotes. Sounds like feral dogs killing for fun to me.

  LOL dude u been watching to much tv its a proven fact that coyotes are fawns number one predator y would u say hogs, hogs are more scavengers and by the way bud broken glass and hamburger meat is the way to go with the coyotes poison isn't broken glass won't contaminate anything and it will wipe them out.

you need to use Timic its poison the farmers use on cotton, sprinkle a little of that on a dead carcus of something and whatever eats it will be laying within 20 yards possums birds whatever eats it, and whatever eats that will die to its by far the best thing to wipe unwanted animals out. i think it kills three times you want to put rubber gloves on and be upwind haha and dont have any at your house in case you kill something your not suppose to and they start checking around

Im not sure about where you live but in past years you could just call the ag extention agent and they would contact the county trapper who would come out and set some cyanide traps and snares. Seems to work well.

Timic is a good way to go to prison and get some felony charges I would def go with djhogdogger idea keep you out of trouble!

Just bait, call and shoot.

Call the trapper that is why they are employed. If you are going to call there is no reason to bait an area unless you just happen to have a cow or calf carcass.

That's what I was gonna tell you to call a trapper. I'm pretty sure we don't have a full time trapper in Washington county but call the main office in Bryan and ask for Linda. She can help you. They are working today and the sooner you call the better. 979 845 6201. They can help you.
