I appreciate you man.  I ended my service in 2003 after my first tour in Iraq.  Good luck with your child and leave; I don't know too many CDRs that turned that leave request down.   If he or she does it is because they don't have children of their own.  If the request is denied, take your request higher.  Take it from me, the birth of a child is much more important than anything as Basic or AIT.

Korea...that's a long way from TX.  You'll come back here liking bulgogi and rotten lettuce.  Take care man.

We were playing in the sand box and a guy walked up to the old Bird and gave him a cigar. The old Bird asked if it was a boy or a girl. The guy said that he did not know and showed him the message he had received. It had date, time, length, and weight but not boy or girl. The old Bird told the radio man to send a priority message back asking if it was a boy or a girl. Just in case you don't know priority messages require a fast response and are only used when needed. Even though he could not go home he had everyone and I mean everyone's sympathy. The only way you don't get leave is if you are vital to the mission or it would put the military in a bad position.

Prayers sent

He is a chinook helicopter repairman.
When did they make korea a 3yr tour? I know they were an extension program for a couple $1000 extra for every yr extended there n then choice of duty station upon return to stateside.
