15 long hair pullin days later and im finished. I got my acft mech license. For thise of yaw who partake in the consumption of an alcoholic beverage, drink a few for me since i quiet drinkin 4 yrs ago. I think im a half a head balder now, but i hope it was worth it. Its now time to tackle my pilots license written, oral and practical and get that behind me too so i can start on my rotary wing commercial, since i owe a couple of yaw a flt.

 you got more sand than me Charles  lol  I thought about it after I got out of the corps but went with diesel mech. instead .  on the big rigs and commercial equipment  .  and I was a nervous wreck at first wondering and second guessing myself after rebuilding an engine  , worrying if it would break down a 1000 miles down the road   lol  I can imagine what I would have been like working on an aircraft  .  but with time it became second nature  . congrats and good fortunes ahead  .

Thanks a lot folks. Mike, yep, once the temp drops we'll get together again. Mr whitten, been on wrench side of helicopters for 10 yrs and before that, otr trucks n heavy equipment too. Acft maint n piloting  i think are a couple of the most stressfull jobs on the market, especially with these modern fly by wire big birds. There sint no shoulder of the road to pull over on, the acft and gravity hav a come jesus meeting, which usualy aint pertty. I do think that if an idiot like me can pilot and work on these metal birds, any1 with any mech sence can. Jimco, i hope ur right, the job doors open wide soon, fixn to update my resume n see what happens. Again, thanks folks.

Im scared too. Went ovr the hwy 249 and beltway 8 overpass in houston. I dang near pooed my pants goin over it. Took a proficiency flt wen bc it had been a month since i flew last. The Air was cool n calm at 5000', all my manuvers was good, but my first landing was crap, nxt 1 was a lil better n my third landing was near trxt book.

Hooooah!!  18 days and I'm MOS qualified and hopefully ill have my a&p by my six years!
