Title: Bad luck Post by: swine dogger on August 26, 2013, 11:01:44 pm Well a few weeks ago I put on here that I got a boxer/pit and I tryed it out well it did good on the small hogs but the big hogs kicked her butt ,but anyways we're kinda new to hog huntin but we have bought several dogs people said were catch dogs they aint worth crap. Anyways I was wondering what would be my best bet on a good (cheap) cd

Title: Re: Bad luck Post by: Jason Dunn on August 28, 2013, 05:46:15 am I picked my catch dog up as a pup on side of a dirt road starving he was happy to see me I knew he had some bull dog in him but I don’t really know how much he grew out to be a blocky dog and the biggest hog he has caught was 325 on the deer scales he probably isn’t the best but he has no bark quiet as a mouse. He found and caught his own hog when he was around 6 months old I was filling up deer feeders he followed me into the woods I heard a pig squealing the little sucker caught a sow in a beaver pond a few hundred yards from the deer stand I knew then I had something to work with he will hunt as hard as any of my curs but over time I stopped letting him run with them because he was getting tore up I now lead him to the bay but he would rather hunt so sometimes free is a good option he’s now 2 and has caught several only one I know has gotten loose from him and that was at night and he got wrecked with a vest on so I know he tried hard.
