EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

I thought that title would get somebody's attention  ;D
This is a line of dogs I have been messing with for a couple of years. They are turning out to be very consistent and nice medium range dogs with alot of bottom. I cannot take credit for them, a man in Okeechobee has been breeding and raising them for many years. Adding and culling when needed. Just thought I would show them off. I know you Texas guys like a yella dog.  ;)

Great looking dogs man and some battle bumps on them to make them shine that much more.   I tell ya what I got a Fla Cur here myself his oldest offspring are now about 7/8 months old and they some wild child's, the Hybrid Vigor in them is crazy .  110 mph everything they do lots of fire lots of attitude, they fixing to see their first hogs very very shortly  .

Durn everyone of them look like they have a road map on them lol

Thanks fellas! and most of them turn out pretty gritty. If its not rank there gonna put some teeth in it or try LOL they all came off a papered dog and have been crossed over cowdog/ FL cur lines.

Man they are some good looking dogs you got there. May i ask you I see some of them have bobbed tails are they coming out natural like that or are they docked? Just curious, and I also noticed you mentioned that they come off a papered dog back into cowdog stock. So was that papered dog a yellow BMC? Regardless nice dogs flacracker!

HAHAHAH yes he does! I have a little blood off his old FL line and they are no joke either. They have more nose and will relay ALLLL day if you let them. He keeps telling me these yella dogs dont come close to his FL dogs 20 years ago.

They came off Reno's son. About 50/50 come out bobtail and long tail. It seems the cowdog blood has been producing more bobtails and cork screw tails the last few years. Also alot more pink/liver nose pups are coming out like Cowboy. And believe it or not those pink nose pups almost ALL come out straight catch no bark. This is something I have noticed the last 5 years over 2-3 different litters. Same dad different moms.

Nice looking dogs. I tell ya we've had a lot of luck with dogs out of okeechobbe. We've  had some dang good dogs come from the hair family out that way.

My Junior dog has a cork screw tail. I tell ppl he is half hog  ;D Only a handful have them over the last 20 years. What is an EB? English Bulldog Im guessing? LOL

My buddy I have hunted with for a long time bought the house and 5 acres next to Lalo for when he retires from the ranch.

!0-4 somehow I scrolled right past his pic. Old Lalo has always had some good blood.

I hear yah on the pink nose dogs. My Scout male pup is straight catch. His litter mate sister is catchy to but she will back off on a goodun.

Yes sir. He is my idol LOL almost 60 and still traps and hunts almost every day alone. Loads and ties every hog by himself. He has forgotten more about hog hunting then I will ever know. He is a good friend of mine. I am lucky enough to have some of his blood running around my yard.

Chaz it wont be long and that yellow dog will be ready to roll out! If he hunts as good as he looks, you will have a top knotch hog dog!

]I don't know Lalo but a buddy of mine does. The male dog is my buddys outta Lalo's old stuff and we bred him to to one of my gyps.

HAHAHAHA small world man! Kale is a friend of mine he owns Cajun. If you go back and look at my pics the red dog is Cajuns son. His name is Maverick. Just ask Kale about him and he will tell you. He is identical to his daddy. Maverick is off the first litter they bred Cajun over a Yella dog that Lalo had and Kale owns. He is an old SOB but a solid producer. He throws some nose and relaying skills to those pups. My brother has a sister to Maverick off Kales last litter. She is about 6 months and loves a hog but no bark just bite.

Tell me about your gyp? Are the pups spoken for?

Haha it is a small world. I've heard him talk about  your maverick dog. No I don't got all the pups spoken for. There's 12 of em. Lucky is short to medium range. Will stick with one for a while. Don't have much bay in. She's real catchy. Good nose silent on trail. Will road hunt, wind from the top of the box or from inside or walk hunt.

Thats a  real good looking breeding, and litter you got there boarhog. Good luck with them.

  lol  judge is that brandons old rottwieler  ?  I remember seeing him when I sold Brandon sady and a few other mutts . lol  they was pups back then . those pups were built big when I seen them . I told him I thought they were rotties and he said they was florida curs stout dogs for sure  .

Yep that's thunder sure have got a bunch big teeth with him for sure. Rough as they com yep every one thinks he is a rottie haha Brandon was about to cry one time he was missing for few days but I found him layed up in a old barn with a lady friend lol

Mommas a head dog. Cajun the dad is outta lalo's. He's like 12 years old or more. I have grand daughter outta lucky and she will flat get after a cow if you let her.  There might be 1 or 2 left.

!0-4 Them parents rough on a hog. Can you take them two to the woods together and have a chance at catching "any size" hog, or do you need to carry a catch dog.

? I reckon I'll take that as a "no". Wouldn't be interested then. They are good lookin dogs though.

That's a tuff question bud. The dad to these pups is old as dirt now. But back in his prime you could have taken just the 2 parents and catch dam near any hog. I normally always bring a catch dog so if there running different hogs and a solo dogs is baying a nasty one I can still catch him.

That's understandable. I forgot the sire had some age on 'em and should have worded my question differently. I've got a friend their in Williston that might be interested in one if you've got any left. I believe he may have pm'd you about Gulf Hammock. Lalo's old blood was rank and would hang a spoilt cow fast one out. That sire you have their is in that same age bracket as the dogs I had seen. Keep us in mind if you get stuck with any pups ;)

Yeah I got Blake's #. I'm trying to get a head count on what I got left. I will get with him.  I don't own the sire, my buddy does.

Speaking of puppies, I had two of my dogs lock up Tuesday. I'm most likely gonna get her fixed unless I can find enough people interested in some 3/8 leopard 3/8 pit and 1/4 bulldog pups. They'd definitely be gritty, but that would mean I'd only probably be able to hunt her for the first month or so of general gun.
