Title: Running catch dogs Post by: Nac hog hunter on October 07, 2013, 09:53:36 pm I cant use a pitbull to hunt with.. Iv heard of people useing walker hound and other types of dog to catch.. I have to walker pup and i wanted to c if anyone had any tips on how to train them to catch on sight in stead of running till they bay... Anyone with experence with this have any tips or ideas????

Keep putting those pups in a pen with pigs smaller than them and let them taste them . From there keep upping the size. I run a ridgeback x pit . He gets it done 99% of the time with some help from a redbone cur.
