Yeah well I lost some confidence in the decision to shoot that hog in the creek, when they were caught! Should have just jumped in there and disposed of the hog.

At least there was no heavy drama, yet. I was laughing too....no matter what dogs are baying, they play the same hound bawl sound clip, haha.

I know it's sheer entertainment purposes, so it's kind of like a live cartoon if anything. I just watch it to see the dogs really, lol. Kinda like roadkill.....even though it may be nasty, ya can't help but look lmao.

The really funny part was where Krystal and Lea went into the thicket and they said the  hog wasn't caught and there was a white bulldog on the head. It just gets better and better

I just think that all hunters should get along and work together. I know that it's all just for entertainment and ill admit I watch it to lol. But I know lots of hog hunters that are frindley and good people that would do anything to help you and I just wish there were some hunters for everyone to watch that work together, get along and just have fun and catch hogs.

I completely agree. I would not hunt with people that fight like they do. Hog hunting is all about the fun not about the fussing and fighting

It is a tv show, and if I was in it I would never be first to the hog.  It would always be ladies first!   I'm sure the view would be better behind the ladies than the view of a hog!

Hey it's not too bad at least the sport is on TV and the women aren't bad thats not being to chauvnist is it?  ;D

the show is a train wreck. You just can't look away. It's entertaining I'm not gonna lie, but i don't want people thinkin that's what the actual sport is about.

I talked with Robert Campbell today, and he  seems like a good guy. Just like the rest of us hog hunters I can say he honestly sounds like he knows what he is talking about. He will even tell you that it's the editors that make it look the way it does and that some of the best footage doesn't actually get on tv.

same with what randy tate and ronney creek say, them editors screw it up. them editors r bout as f-up as a soup samich

The show is pure entertainment(not very good) but I watch because of dogs and hogs. First off I would not hunt with a woman unless she was my wife, the only reason they have the girls on there is for the ratings. I hate the fact they cuss so much on there too.  I also hate the fact they don't show what real hog dogging is. There are many many things wrong with the show but Katie ball didn't seem to get offend by the comments why would she? She's getting paid to listen to them. The point is its just a show

I'm a woman, and I wasn't offended by it per se', but I do consider it 'distasteful humor' on their part, but then again, that was a big part of the entertainment factor for that episode I guess. Now in REAL life, if someone ever spoke to me like that, especially a boss of mine, someone would have a busted jaw, and it wouldn't be me.

You are so funny! I like the broke jaw remarks. I honestly think if the had producers that are hunters the show would be better. I hope they are the only people that act like that while hunting. I know we don't when hunting.

Duck Dynasty is GREAT. Of all the Louisiana/Cajun/Swamp or southern oriented shows out there, they represent the best. Hunting, family, values.....real deal stuff.

Duck Dynasty is awesome. The  Campbell's don't hold a candle to the Robertson's though. If the producers of duck dynasty produced American Hoggers it would definitely be a better show.

I think the Robinson's keep the producer and A&E in line. They already told A&E if the took out the praying they were quitting the show.

 I never could get into duck dynasty. it just nvr tickled my fancy. iv tried watching it, and would rather hit my finger with a hammer instead, but hey, I don't turn my tv to it. as long as its entertainment for others who like, good deal

same here...Duck Commanders was quite a bit better IMO...

same guys as Duck Dynasty...it was a 30 minute hunting show every Saturday morning...it was seasonal as well...about this time of year

 never could get into blasting birds. not enough meat for the wear n tear on my shoulder. to much effort for very little meat yield. i guess that's the main reason i have no interest in bird hunting shows.

So hunting for hogs must be real easy and raising/feeding/training dogs??? They both require a lot of effort with hopes of yielding meat, and hog hunting is way more physical on the body in comparison to bird hunting. But like in other threads to each his own, and the hunting spots make a world of difference.

But I will say I do not enjoy duck dynasty, at first yes but now seems rehearsed to me.

1 bird=3-4oz of meat, 6oz at most, 1 meal. 1 good hog, 100-150lbs of meat, a chit load of meals. Gee, even a 4th grader can do the math. Evidently u cant.
Oh, n iv got the land for pleanty of dove, could have filled my freezer full, but i dont care to hunt them.

When you kill 1500-2000 DUCKS out of three blinds it equals a little more than that. But what we do it for the experience, like going on dry runs with dogs still put work in and enjoy the experience. Also no disrespect was not picking a argument, have total respect for what you have done for this country.

 no worries, its good. I will go out and help retrieve the dove, ducks n such, but I myself will not partake in the shooting, I personally don't have any inclination to do it. it aint always about the shooting, but more the comrade amongst friends. 2000 birds, yielding 4oz each of meat totals to 500lbs total. 4 good hogs will yield close to that, no beating on the shoulder, but its still again not the kill, but the hunt its self. iv been on dry runs numerous times and enjoy them hunts as much as I do when we catch hogs. the guys I hunt with, I wouldn't trade for anything. they are good folks, just as your bird hunting friends.

I got to say I like watching the American Hoggers show.  Yeah some of it is off and not accurate but O well it is a hell of a lot better that a ton of trash that is on TV these days.

Seeing American Hoggers and not being impressed at all! but to see the pink thong on that chick Katie was disgraceful. The filthy talk too. What a disgrace to real hog hunters.

Tonight was probly the best episodes I've seen. They showed lots more of the dogs working and actually caught a couple decent pigs. Not much drama either in comparison. I wanted the slap that ol gal in the back of the head tho when she acted like she was gonna shoot the hog with dogs in the way .

I don't have satellite or cable so I have never seen the show. It sounds like what is on most tv these days. I was at the sell today and one of the guys there had them come out to his ranch to hunt. He said they came out, spent two days in the bar then brought out their air conditioned trailer let the hogs out gave them a head start then let the dogs out after them. Was done filming and the whole shebang in a couple of hours. He says the antics and stuff didn't bother him but when they brought their own hogs that chapped him a bit. I told him I would come hunt his hogs, he wasn't interested :)

My 2 cents,i think it is a disgrace to hog hunting with dogs.as for as entertanment i like it,jerry shouldnt say the things he does,and the hogs they strike do the same thing ever strike,come to louisana and strike a few here.

I am willing to bet Jerry didn't "find" Katie Ball anywhere.  I would imagine she was handpicked by the producers.  I am also willing to bet that Jerry comments were either scripted or at least encouraged by the producers.  Even if that is what happened Jerry could have taken the high road.  The Cambells are obviously in this for fame and money.  They are not in it to promote hog dogging.

Still good entertainment...

I felt so bad when Krystal accidentally ran over her dog.....glad he made out okay.

Because the producers and editors don't care and John Q. Public thinks that is how it really happens.

It's all TV boys and girls.
It ends up being that everything is staged and every hog is let go..
I find it weird how you see people in the background running away from the bay ; as soon as they are driving up to the bay.
I have seen this several times, you also see other trucks in there.
Why would they're be extra people there without a camera in hand???


It's the same hound bawl every single time!
Listen to the girls bawl and Jerry's dogs bawl and they are exactly the same!!!
