Don't take this wrong but if I were you I would go ahead and run the panel all the way to the top everywhere because you might eventually have a dog that will climb out over the top. Right now I have three that would be waiting for me somewhere if I didn't take them and there was a space at the top for them to get out. Also, when you get a female in heat the male dogs will climb into her pen. Not trying to be a smart --s. Just trying to save you some worry, broken legs, or unwanted breedings later on.
