Title: Custom Dog Box Post by: Bryant on March 11, 2008, 10:36:31 pm I have a dog box I'm no longer using. I made it to sit sideways on the front of a flatbed trailer and so it has doors on two sides. It's 4' square overall and divided into four compartments. It will fit in the back of a truck, but would be hard to use the other two doors. The compartments are not great big and probably wouldn't be something you would want to leave a dog in all day, but I have hauled dogs all over the place in it with no problems. It's also pretty heavy and wouldn't be something you would want to load and unload from a truck very often. The two pieces of tubing sticking out in the pictures was the start of another project and I would be happy to cut those back off. Plans changed, I bought another trailer and this is just sitting.
I have about $150 in materials and would take that for it, or might trade for something that doesn't eat. If Interested, call me at 254-534-2455. Also the top really isn't that shiny...it was wet and raining when I took the pics! Thanks! Title: Re: Custom Dog Box Post by: Bryant on April 01, 2008, 04:28:55 pm Overall height is 29". Dog boxes are 24".
I'm down around your area pretty frequently and could possibly drop it by if your interested. Title: Re: Custom Dog Box Post by: uglydog on April 03, 2008, 04:34:05 pm Sure is a nice box, I will ask Thomas but I think he is looking for something taller for the big white dogs.
Title: Re: Custom Dog Box Post by: Circle C on April 03, 2008, 04:51:30 pm Krystal,
Thomas can just weld some extensions to the bottom to make it tall enough for the gentle giants. You know he can weld now, so there is no excuse for him not to do it. Bryant, I could not find enough nickels in the couch to buy the box, but I will say that is a dang good price for the box. I would have charged more than that for my labor, much less the cost of materials now. Title: Re: Custom Dog Box Post by: BRUTE on April 03, 2008, 09:46:19 pm Ya, I know. I keep looking at is saying it is too good of a deal to pass up but I can't find a use for it. :(
Title: Re: Custom Dog Box Post by: Bryant on April 03, 2008, 11:41:11 pm Krystal,
Honestly I think it would be a little short for them. The picture I saw which I copied this box from was the same size (4' X 4') but was only divided one way. I should have made it like that, but as I was cutting and welding I thought the compartments looked larger. It will still hold a good size dog in each box, but it won't be the most comfortable trip they've ever taken. Circle C / Brute, If I could count my time I definately have more than $150 in it but its not worth anything sitting out by the barn killing the grass. I would rather someone be getting some use, and the rest I'll chalk up to welding practice. I enjoy tinkering with stuff anyways! :) Title: Re: Custom Dog Box Post by: BRUTE on April 04, 2008, 10:38:39 am Where are you located?
